Al'ika began to run after Keth, her sword out. "Thought the throne room was the other way?!" she called.

"Have to avoid backup,' Keth said. "Go long way around." As they neared their target, a tile under Keth's foot slid down, sending a spike into it. He stumbled and caught himself with the wall and began limping towards the door. Orcs were heard from behind them, growing closer by the minute.

Al'ika shook her head and drew and knocked some arrows, drawing back and releasing them. "How close are we?" she yelled.

Two halls down," Keth said. "Ill hold them back, go on." He readied himself and cut down two of the horde.

Al'ika looked back and burst into the throne room, sword drawn.

Xur was seated on the throne, surrounded by the biggest orcs he could find."I was wondering when you'd return for more of my affections," he said, tenting his fingers. "As you can see, we've prepared for your arrival quite well. I believe you've heard this ultimatum before; leave empty handed or this time it will be all orcs joining you in the dungeon."

"I highly doubt it," Al'ika said, tossing her hair over her shoulder. "I have reinforcements this time. But I'm not here for your affections." She knocked a few arrows at a time and drew back, aiming for the orcs.

Her arrows pierced through their armor, wounding them and the two she hit began to cautiously move to fight her. "Xur said, Hold on a minute. I have something that was left here. I think she would want it back." He threw Jorr's ear on the ground in front of her and spat on it.

"Thank you," Al'ika said, knocking a couple more arrows. "Keth!" she called.

Keth fought his way back into the room, backpedaling against the blows raining down on him. The orcs at the throne began to charge, attacking piecemeal against the two warriors.

Al'ika drew her sword and battled off the two orcs. "Have you seen Jorr and Edioz?" she called over her shoulder to Keth.

"Not yet," Keth said, "But they far off from here." He struck down two more and parried another. One got a pretty solid blow against Al'ika.

Al'ika hissed, feeling the metal of the blade hit her arm. "Ow!" she groaned, stabbing the orc that got her. "Go for it, I can hold them off," she grunted.

Xur moved to stand toe to toe with Keth. He had a magnificent, shining spear and shield in his grasp. Keth swung, but Xur blocked and sidestepped, his spear glancing off Keth's breastplate.

Al'ika meanwhile continued holding off the orcs, keeping her eye on Keth and Xur, looking for a way in once she got the orcs off her back. In desperation, she lit their armor on fire.

Two more orcs fell, while the remaining three stopped to roll out the flames. Keth and Xur were in heated combat, both giving as good as they got. Both were bleeding in quite a few places.

Al'ika threw an ice spell, furious. She yelled for Keth to duck as she threw fire at Xur, trying to slow him down.

Xur lost his footing, but that allowd him to miss a crushing blow from Keth. He steadied himself as the burned orcs got back to their feet, readying themselves for more battle.

Al'ika thought fast. She ducked out of the orcs' way and aimed ice at Xur's feet to pin him down.

Xur was stuck to the floor but battled hard and fast against Keth's onslaught. An orc swung at Al'ika.

Al'ika barely had time to duck, but she managed and froze the orc in place. "Keth, closer, you need to get closer, goblins don't do good close range," she reminded him, as she fought.

Keth stepped in and knocked his armaments away, then cleared an orc off of Al'ika. "You good now, finish it," he said. Friendly battle cries came screaming from the hallway outside.

Al'ika ducked under Keth and set Xur on fire, her eyes aflame. "Burn little goblin, burn," she growled, making the fire hotter. "And may your privates be covered in stinging briar in the afterlife."

Xur died in a smoldering pile on the floor, causing the orcs to flee. They were cut down before they left the throne room as Edioz and Jorr rushed in, I'eie hanging between them. "She knifed me, but I'll live," Edioz said. "Now let's get the hell out of here before Lord Ashglow returns.

"Right. Everyone, grab my hand," Al'ika said. "Edioz, hold onto I'eie." Once everyone grabbed her hand, she concentrated, and they teleported to the outskirts of town, her falling down a little bit.
