Those not used to teleporting fell over and stumbled on arrival, and Edioz took I'eie's naked body and took off for the temple. "Anyone else coming? She's going to fight like the devil," he said.

Al'ika nodded. "Yeah, I'm coming. We all should come and have Father Hallowbrook check us out, especially you Jorr," she said. She tore off part of her tunic and used it as a tourniquet around her arm. "Let's go."

As they made it to the temple, I'eie awoke and began screaming obscenities about being taken from her lord, how he was going to slaughter them all for their insolence. Hallowbrook came in and said, "For god's sake, tie her down. I can't work like this."

Al'ika tied I'eie down, wincing at her arm. "I'm sorry Father, I should've thought of this before hand," she apologized.

I'eie headbutted her in the face, but couldn't move. Hallowbrook left and returned with his clerical vestments on. "I'd advise waiting outside, he said, preparing to use holy magic. "It could get a bit testy in here."

Al'ika smiled. "Mind if I tend to our own wounds while we wait?" she asked softly. "And good luck, Father."

Hallowbrook got out salves and potions. "You've earned it and then some," he said, shutting the door to his cloister. For hours, screaming, moaning, and cursing came from the room. Finally, Hallowbrook staggered out, exhausted. "Well, it certainly won't be easy to break the spell," he said. 'We need herbs and plants that are nearly impossible to find in these parts. No doubt Ashglow knew that."

Al'ika looked up from her work on Jorr's ear. "What herbs?" she asked. She began emptying her armor of various herbs that she sneaked out on the sly. "Any of those?"

"A couple, but razorfern and iceberry grow across the mountains," Hallowbrook said. "Ad that's through bandit country."

Al'ika nodded. "I'll check my stores at home, but that should give you a good start. Did you make any progress?" she asked.

"I've treated her as well as I could," Hallowbrook said, "And with all that torture, that was a stretch. We need those two plants before I can do any more," he said.

Al'ika nodded. She pulled the vial of her strange potion out. "What's this? I was never told," she said, handing it to him. "It works very well."

"That's an old recipe I know," Hallowbrook said. "Good for wounds, but not for anything remotely like this. I can make a few batches of that if you need it for your travels."

"Yes, I understand what it does but WHAT is it?" Al'ika asked, slightly annoyed. "Yes, I'd like more, I've barely used it."

"The HERB, Father, the HERB," Al'ika snapped. She looked guilty and smiled. "Sorry, I'm a little on edge."

"Oh, it's a mixture of things," Hallowbrook said, "All indigenous to here, and with a little clerical aid on top." he listed them off.

Keth checked the list and ran off, returning with the herbs. "Sorry, quicker if Keth do it," he said. "Can we get map?" Hallowbrook said, "Let me start the brew and I'll make one." After the map was drawn, he said, "Do you know which bandits are operating up there?"

"Mainly the She'iep clan, they're easy to deal with," Al'ika mentioned. "At least that's what my reports last said." She studied the map.

"Oh yeah, I know. Met her. She's a fierce woman," Al'ika nodded. "Beautiful, but fierce." She pointed to a little used trail. "If we use this trail, however, we can bypass her."

"I know the mountains, Jorr kept dragging me out of them as a kid. Jorr should stay home, I'm not sure how much more he can take." Al'ika looked apologetically at the old ranger. "Sorry, Jorr."

Edioz said, "I'll put him up at my house till he's well. I think you guys can make it. Good luck, and make the other bastards die instead." He and Jorr hobbled off into the streets, which were becoming muddy with rain.
