i don't think that people realize the amount of love and trust in our kind of relationship - i think they see it as a purely sexual kind of thing.

The one that always gets me is "Masochinst must like pain, any pain, any time". Like I'd really appreciate getting shot, or knifed, or any other kind of nonerotic pain. A nother variation is that we like to get whipped whenever by whoever.

No love or intimacy......
Well, this one kinda bugged me...... Just last night, the ex husband and i were talking about the fact that i thought it was to soon for our 5 year old daughter to be meeting his girlfriend. Anyway, i said that it would be a while before i introduced my daughter to Master (and i wouldn't introduce Him in that conrext), trying to make the point that i thought it was to soon after the divorce...... So the ex says to me, and i quote "yes but your relationship with <Master> isn't a 'normal' relationship, there is no intimacy or love there"
ImHO, the D/s relationship that i am in is more intimate and loving than any of the 'nilla relationships that i have ever been in, including my 7 year marriage.
