I see that this has been asked before, but I'm still not clear on the answer. I'm thinking of updating my Bio, and would like to include a link to my Smashwords books. Would that be okay or not?

Yes you can, but it won't appear as a hotlink: people will have to copy and paste it into their browser.

However, there is a place for you to put web links that will work.
