Lucy was a meek, quiet girl who kept to herself and wasn't at all surprised when her parents called her and said she'd have to stay at school for vacation. They were visiting her sister, Margaret, in California to visit their new grandchildren and didn't plan on returning in time for when Lucy's next semester started, so it didn't make sense for her to accompany them. Lucy had a lot of siblings. Her parents were old fashioned and very religious; they didn't believe in contraception. This belief led them to have seven kids, and counting. Lucy was in the middle, and was used to getting left behind. It didn't really upset her anymore. She was used to it.
She wondered who else, if anyone, would be staying at school for the two week off like she was. She headed down into the common room of the dormitory, but finding it to empty, was about to turn back to her empty dorm when she ran into a classmate of hers, Dave. She'd never really spoken with him, but she'd always found him very cute. "Oh, I'm sorry!" she said, blushing.
"Oh hi! Sorry that was my fault, I didn't see you."
Would she also be staying over the vacation? He recognized her, it's that cute girl. If I'm stuck here for two weeks she would be the best one to be stuck with!
"Uhm, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be on the way home?" He said surprised.
