Everything Baseball

The City of LA needed some joy.

Good for them.

👍

Feel bad for all Canadians, but at least they don’t have to suffer with DonOld & the MAGAts - other than trade & tariffs…

👍

with three (ended up being two) horrific pitching calls by Roberts, amazing d by the jays, I figured it was sooooo over.

Wow

Just insane

Feel for the jays and Canada except suck it Springer but wow both teams just battled hard.

Also.. is Yamamoto like superhuman? Da fuq??

Good game but honestly the Dodgers bought the title in the off season so this is nothing but their expected efforts as MLB continues to ruin itself

Great seeing that dbag springer lose! Fireworks going off all over the neighborhood here lol

I knew that once Rojas did his thing that LA was gonna win. Sucks

-Jays gad a two run lead in the 8th

-Jays had a one run lead in the 9th only needing two outs to win

-Jays has bases loaded in the 9th

-Jays has first and third in the 11th

Roberts’ decision to play Rojas was a pretty solid move.

I’ll give the manager his props.

👍
That was. Putting ohtani out in the third was horrible.
Pulling glasnow early was highly questionable.
It worked out but yoshi going out was questionable

Fair enough.

Ohtani didn’t look like he had his best stuff all series, imho, but it’s the end of the season and nobody is 100 %. Ohtani being relied upon for pitching and hitting WAS asking a lot, but then again, he’s getting paid a lot. And it’s tough for a manager to sit the studs in pressure situations. I suspect if Vesia and/or Scott had been available, the pitching rotations for the Dodgers would have been more…coherent. Roberts did seem to be resorting to “pitching by committee” at the end of the series, but so did Schneider. And Schneider’s charges served up three home runs at critical moments, so…

Side note: That game 3 eighteen inning marathon screwed up the pitching for the rest of the series, imho. And extra innings in game 7 was the cherry on top. I will return to a point I made after game 3: It’s a damn good thing Yoshi didn’t have to pitch in that game 3 marathon. (Remember, Yoshi was getting ready to come in just before Freddie hit his walk off homer.) If Yoshi had pitched an inning or two in game 3, then who knows…

Fate is fickle - and she was on the Dodgers’ side in the end. (There were a couple of veeeeeery close calls / plays that could have changed the outcome dramatically - especially that Rojas throw to home).

Great series. Great game 7. Great win for the Dodgers and their fans. Great fight from the Jays and their fans. Great day for baseball.

👍

If Scott was available he’d have blown it for the Dodgers.
Vesia on the other hand was sorely missed

Vesia and Scott are both lefty relievers, which helps a manager quite a bit.

Vesia was clearly the bigger loss, but a healthy Scott could have helped as well, imho.

No. He was less trustworthy than Treinen...and thats impressive.
Not sure if you followed the Dodgers all season but he blew sooooo many games. The Dodgers led the league in comes from behind but also led the league in blown games. He was miserable.
