Still, that kind of thing is their loss. If someone I truly like and respect did that, I would ask them why. A lot of the time it turns out that it was quite unintentional. If it is some mere acquaintance, I'll silently wish them well on their journey, and put them right out of mind.

Yep, I have that feeling from time to time. It stinks, especially if I don't know what (if anything) I did to the person. If some time goes by with no change in the situation, I drop the person a friendly "hi, everything ok?" email or IM. If the person rebuffs me or flat out ignores me, I just say to myself, "All right, let me know when you get rid of whatever crawled up your ass." That doesn't really make me feel better, but it does help me to move forward and focus on other people who do know how to treat a friend.

Wow, they can subtlely snub you???? I always get the big loud turning my whole body away from you so I can pretend you are dead thingy. Seriously KM I know what it's like, the sudden strange fog that deafens anything you say....... It sucks to be in that situation esp. if it's family. It sucks even more when you are clueless as to what you did. Sorry to see you have to go through it.
