No honestly, big congratulations to England, I saw their game tonite (and finally I saw one of the really good games of this Euro).
I was really impressed. Very good effort, especially Roon-aldo. He's a jewel and his prize has just risen into space I believe. Nevertheless he'll still have to go a long way to super-stardom but he will do it.
The whole team played well against not-too-bad Croatians. And you have to pay tribute to England's mental strength. I mean, just look at these recoveries. Today from an early 1-0 by Croatia and especially the disaster in the french game.
With attitude and strength like that plus good players one wonders how far England might actually go this time. But I doubt that they'll win it.
Nobby's dance won't be repeated too soon,
Portugal is a big hurdle.

And France adfrancing to the next phase was as anyone supposed. Henry all the way. They should beat the Greek.

I'm so glad that this tournament shows quite some goals and good games plus a lot of attitude and commitment even by weaker teams or teams that are already out of the thing (like Russia yesterday) It makes this one of the better finals.
I'm eagerly waiting for tomorrow that should bring two thrilling games again.

Having managed to pick all the wrong Englishmen (except Lampard, bless him), I dropped to 5th in the League! Arrrgh.

One thing, Neon... a Portguese-English team? I don't know how bad it could be, but isn't half your team going to take points off the other half come Thursday? I guess a high scoring game where you picked all the scorers would be good...

Good performance against Croatia. We're not world-beaters yet, just for having whipped two ordinary sides, but we're in the QFs and now it starts for real...

I'll have to do some thinking 'cos I can switch them round for free, maybe I'll wait to see who the other qualifiers will be then switch half the team, can always pick the 'winners' for the semi's

Should be a great game though, I think they are pretty evenly matched but I would edge toward Portugal if they play the same way as they did against Spain, they never allowed the Spanish to settle on the ball and England are pretty bad at regaining possession from good teams. Even last night, whilst they had most of the possession, Croatia were able to make deep inroads with the ball in possession.
