We're STILL waiting for Lewd! Only 39 hours to go! :D

Gauche and Lauren
Thanks for your appreciation, probably too personal for a UK newspaper, it was simply thoughts that I wanted to share.

Might redraft it without the personal stuff and send it out - you never know.

Thanks again.

Thanks Lauren but I already gave him the boot for Campbell, he's going to score a lot of points on Sunday keeping Henry out of the game.

My newly refurbished team:

1: Casillas

2: Nesta 3: Šimic 4: Desailly 5: Campbell

6: Lampard 7: Gerrard (C) 8: Vieira 9: Bjelica

10: Henry 11: Vieri

Subs

12: Kolinko keeper
13: Neretljak Defender
14: Leko Midfield
15: Papadopoulos Forward

Gauche

Good. :)

Doubts surrounding Desailly

France captain Marcel Desailly faces a nervous wait to find out if he will be included in the starting lineup for the European champions' opening game of UEFA EURO 2004™ against England on Sunday.

Knee bother
The 35-year-old, who has won 115 caps for his country, sat out France's 1-0 win against Ukraine on Sunday and has not appeared for Les Bleus since their friendly with Brazil on 20 May because of a knee injury. In addition, he has played only 117 minutes for his club, Chelsea FC, since 3 April, largely due to the imperious form shown by compatriot William Gallas and England's John Terry.

Santini faith
However, despite his lack of match practice, France coach Jacques Santini believes Desailly still has an important part to play. "I have learnt a lot with players like him, and not only as far as football is concerned," said Santini, who fielded Mikaël Silvestre and Lilian Thuram in central defence against the Ukrainians. "Whether he starts or not on Sunday will not have any consequences on the group dynamic."

Not long now everyone!!!

Hope everyone has their team finalised im just monitering all my players making sure no-one is injured and need replacing *crosses fingers*

Thanks. Funny how these things can look great on paper, but have a capacity to unravel the second the ball gets kicked... grr.

Much though I love the new Av, Lou, its... how can I put this delicately... something of a let down from the previous one. Ah, the patriotic fervour you inspire...

Yeah, not quite the same, is it? I was getting a bit cold. ;)

Talking of AVs, three more posts and you can have one! :D

Hey, yeah. I think I'll keep my chest out of it, if its the same to everyone else.

Awww, shame! I love a bit of chest, male or female. :p

Hi everyone...

1 more day then those of us with Portageese and Greek players in their team will have tohold our breaths and hope!

Those with Spanish and Russian players can still breathe easily for another two hours. :D

Of the ones with the same cost as Grønkjær - 7.5 - I would choose either Ljungberg (Sweden) or Davids (Netherlands). Probably the Swede.

Done, Ljungberg it is. Thanks. :rose:

I'm waiting for Sven's announcement on how Terry went in England's training session this morning. He should be holding a press conference in half an hour. If there's still doubt about him playing against France, I'll be doing some swaps in my team.

Terry's out of the France game Lou

Lou, I'm not sure if you saw this before:

A warning to Lou, Gauche, and whoever else may have chosen Nuno Valente for their teams. All Portuguese journalists are predicting this as the starting line-up in the match against Greece, this Saturday:

GK: Ricardo
D: Paulo Ferreira, Fernando Couto, Jorge Andrade, Rui Jorge (not Nuno Valente)
M: Costinha, Petit (maybe Maniche), Figo, Simão, Rui Costa (maybe Deco)
F: Pauleta.

Also, I'd bench your Latvian defender Smirnovs, and put in the Greek instead. Smirnovs isn't very likely to play.

Nor are the other two subs, actually, so maybe you should trade those three (Smirnovs, Bjelica and Baros) for two cheaper players and a decent sub that will play. :)

Lauren, no, I didn't see it before. Cheers for that! Looks like I've got some changes to make.
