You could drop a $100+ on a date that goes nowhere or you could pay and get exactly what you want. Why not?

It all depends on the circumstances.

As lovecraft said, if the person hiring the escort was married (or otherwise committed to a long-term relationship) and especially if sex is part of the deal, then yes. The person using the escort would be seen as immoral (witness Eliot Spitzer).

If, however, the person is single, then there may be a lot of disdainful looks but I don't think they'd get the same reaction.

I don't see anything sexist about the idea. I believe it is a good example of gender equality if girls and women take the early steps as often as their male counterparts do.
