Discepency between All Activity and Works

I noticed three different people hit favorite on a recent story in my activity section and only 1 shows up as having favorite in the works section. In the real world these numbers would be the same. A second thing is that after someone has favorite me, I click on their profile and I frequently get an error message saying their profile does not exist. I suspect the two may be related and this is some funky software thing. Anyone know what is going on?

The first thing is normal. They add your story to some list, not necessarily their favourites list, and some of those are reported to you publicly as favouriting. The message has the wrong wording.

I have no idea about the non-existent profile error. That's new to me.

I never had that happen. You say it occurs frequently? That would be very odd. It's definitely unrelated to the wrong wording in the added-to-list notification, as this a known bug.

I vaguely recall there being an issue with displaying profiles that may have looked that the profile doesn't exist, and the workaround was to refresh the page. Could this be it, again? Does reloading the allegedly missing profile page fix it, perhaps?

Reloading does not do anything. It says "ERROR 410 GONE"

That message means "This account was deleted." Not saying that happened, but that's what the message means.
