I've been having erotic dreams almost every night these past few weeks. I'm sitting here wondering if I'm the only straight chick who has had erotic dreams about another woman. In my sleep-induced dream state, these dreams are freakin' hot, too. I don't usually think about sex with a woman in my waking hours, so why at night?

If you're straight, do you have dreams about same-sex partners? If you're lesbian/gay, do you have erotic dreams about opposite sex partners? Why do you think this happens while we sleep, but not while we're awake?

Have you ever written about these dreams, or used the dreams as a basis for a story?

I think I wake up curious the next day; I spend the day thinking about the dream and analyzing why it turned me on. But you're right, the intensity of the sexual arousal is more prevalent during the dream than during wakeful hours, but this is usually the same whether I dream of men or women.

I tend to grasp onto dreams, especially enjoyble ones, so that ptobably explains why the guy dreams linger longer -I find them more appealing. The same sex dreams tend to jsut get a cursory "well, that was different" and I may tell hubby (I'm such a tease *L*) but that'll be it.

Considering my active imagination in all ways, not just sexually, I would actually be very surprised if I had NOT had dreams exploring homoerotic themes...but I can't recall any at this moment.

On the straight/gay scale I'm pretty far over on the straight side but once in a while I do have very erotic dreams about men and when I wake up I feel just as stimulated as I do when I dream of being with a woman.
