Why do men have to be such pains? I'm sure most of the guys on here are fine...but why do I have to connect with the assholes?

That said, trust me that men don't have the monopoly on being assholes That said, a lot of men on websites such as this one are absolutely horribly rude and inconsiderate.

If I may butt in here, please allow me to request: as a member of the gender in question here, please don't toss us all in the same pile. We aren't ALL assholes. Granted, we all have our moments, but there are plenty of us here who are capable of the politeness and consideration you're likely looking for.

Trust me, there's veen many a time where I've gone: "What the fuck does she see in that boorish idiot?" But the macho jerks are always the ones with women on their arms, so apparently somebody out there likes the neanderthals.

Keep looking and don't despair, you'll find what you're looking for. Sorry you've got to wade through rhe asshole bin on the way.

Very interesting question. There is a strong body of opinion that we "learned" to attract and be attracted to types. I know several people who attracted and were attracted to the same type of dysfunctional partners time and time and time again. Seems to me there is something to that and, if that describes you, it might be time to think about getting some help to figure out why.
It has taken some of us half a life time to do that.
