Equestrian Thread

Safety isn't sexy!

Safety vests look pretty hot on the women in the Dover catalogue but in practice are not quite so sexy.

Approximately 45 minutes ago the neighbour's kid raced by on his ATV yelling "Hi-(*insert my name here)" while I was dismounting from my Spotted Saddle Horse Mare . She sidestepped while I was halfway between the empty saddle & the ground, snagging my body protection & driving it into my chin causing my head to be thrown back which made my helmet strap pull my head backwards causing my top, arthiritis riddled vertibrae to emit a loud crack! Thankfully she is at least a hand shorter than my Thoroughbred & a lot less high strung.

I will no longer find the body protection sections of either the Dover or the Smartpak catalogues remotely erotic. However, cold beer & painkillers are helping to make the premise of this thread even hotter!

"More Gruel & Beer please sir"!

Lady Godiva

Not to put a damper on things but according to those with a few more brain cells than me.
The story of Lady Godiva riding through the streets of Coventry naked was (using the language of the period) actually referring to the fact that, She was actually clothed just not not wearing her finery!

I still wonder what part of the city she was riding through. If she were a more contemporary figure she could have been riding out of Meriden on a Triumph!

Lady Godiva postscript

I should have added...

"Riding out of Meriden on a Triumph wearing a Davida "Pudding Bowl" helmet & biker slut leathers (For my own tastes preferably Vanson)"!

What dover and stateline aren't horse porn? I'm crushed... gonna have to toss all my catalogs now..:D

My personal preference in equestrian women

I'd have to say my personal preference would be....

Field boots (The laces add that Victorian look).
Khaki breeches
White round collar dressage blouse, off both shoulders, bra undone.
Smoldering, dark features and a "Widow's peak" to add that extra degree of sophistication & mystique!

Horse porn

Mark,

Thankfully there's plenty more in the other sections.
And right now for anyone with a vivid imagination you can always be intrigued about what lies underneath that Gortex "cold weather gear".

Personally I find the the idea of the right woman in a Barbour Bedale a huge turn on (Chanel #5 & the aroma of proofing wax-argh!)!

Does REI have an equestrian section?

Not that I've seen, but some of that Mountain Horse stuff is really hot...(pun intended)

Western

Care to expound on that 2WheelBill.
Your statement left my brain in a quizzical state, Now I'm likely to suffer through another sleepless night wondering why you came to that conclusion.
Is it the "Big hat & belt buckle", They are pretty popular here in Nashville still?

Unfortunately, so are "Mullets" (Just joshing - Now theres some western terminology for you).

I'd suggest a good, solid dose of RFD TV to get you fix on that one Bill.

Time to play..

I forgot to mention for any English discipline people thinking of cross training or crossing over...

It's Wranglers not Levis, Lacers or ropers not cowboy boots if you want to be cool & I would suggest an Eli Miller saddle if you want to be really different.

Owning a 2 eyed Jack lineage AQH does give me some insight!

This thread brings back many good memories of my years with a certain woman who was a HUGE equestrienne. I sometimes used to tease her she rode horses just for the fetish aspects of things, NTTAWWT.
