"Mr Nevari, Sir, look I really appreciate being given a chance, you keeping your silence, and I agree to whatever conditions you may have! And thank you sir for this opportunity!"
George could see the desperation in her eyes when she leapt at his offer. He said, "Don't thank me yet." Without further notice, he turned and walked to his desk and picked up a briefcase, setting it on his desk and flipping it open. He pulled four stacks of legal documents and laid them across the table nice and neatly. He then picked up his pen and said, "You are going to sign these for me now." He turned and offered his pen to her.
She hesitated and it was obvious she thought he was going to make her do something illegal. He looked at her and said, "I am closing your S-Corporation and transferring your funds to a private account. Perfectly legal actions. I don't want this organization linked with White Knight. As far as the funds... they are being transferred to a number of subsidiaries to be sent out as investments which will in turn come back to this company... nice and clean. In a couple of years time, this corporation will be a figment of the imagination... He chuckled at the irony of his last statement.
What he didn't tell her was buried in the back of the forms on pages he would let her see, was the account numbers themselves. Some of the funds would not go to subsidiaries, some would be routed secretly to the CEO's personal off-shore accounts. All of them. He was sneaky about this too... as he also ensured that only Nathan's and Keith's could be traced. His little ace in the sleeve... and yet, she needed to know none of that.
He offered her the pen again and she reached for it and took it. She leaned down and looked as if she was going to read each page. It was a professional CYA to read everything you signed before you signed it but he would not give her that. He said, "You don't trust me? You think I am going to something not in the best interest of the company? Fine... forget it... deal's off..."
He went to reach for the documents and she barked, "no!" She leaned over the forms, protecting them from George and quickly scribbled her name and initialed everything that needed signed and initialed on all the forms. George took the pen, the snatched up the forms and walked over to the wall safe. He turned and said, "Look over there... not here." He waited for her to oblige as he dialed in the combo and opened the safe, then slid the documents in there for safe keeping.
Once the safe was secure once again, he walked back to her and got well within her personal space and he said, "You will say nothing to either Nathan or Keith... you got it??"
She gave a nervous nod and then he said, "Good... now that that is settled, let's talk about the rest of your deal with me. You see..." He let his hand slide down her body, touching her hips, moving along her waist and then back up to her chest. He said, "There is something else you are going to do for me."
He saw a hint of disappointment in her eyes. She thought it had been over. He smiled and said, "Go back to your office. Turn off the lights, shut down the computers, and then take everything but your access badgeand your ID and put them in the bottom drawer of your office desk. You will need your badge to get back in here after our little trip. Do that and then hurry back here. You have five minutes..."
