Have a question about long term bondage. Is this safe ?

We are interested in this but are worried about possible longer term harm. Are aware of the basics and keeping play safe but wondering is there a possibility of problems for example if you are cuffed ( nice smooth shackles ) behind your back for a long time. Or hogtied

Same question about being made to stand. Maybe against pole handcuffed again

Have tried reasonably long times already with no issues but curious about longer but would appreciate any thoughts 😊😊

I've been hoping to learn about it too. The only thing I know so far is that positions that stress the joints and muscles of the restrained person are bad for longer time periods. As in governments have used it as torture that doesn't count legally as torture in international law, and it can over time cause nerve damage or something.

I think that soft restraints in a comfortable position are fine for a couple days. Hospitals use them, but I'm not sure how often they come and exercise a limb or something. Occasionally patients need restraints for everyone's benefit and they can be there for a while. Not a medical professional.

Thank you for your answer 😊😊

We are exploring a few hours. Maybe a hogtie for 5 or 6 hours but not a very tight one

Or just standing cuffed behind my back for a few hours

I can ‘ do ‘ it but we wanted to check that there might not be any mote things to consider then just feeling sore ( I like that ) as I really enjoy the challenge of doing this a long time 😊😊

Okay I looked up hogtie positions to confirm it was what I thought and yes that's a relatively bad position for long-term restrictions. It's a heavy stress on the shoulders. I also double checked the "stress positions" stuff though and apparently I vastly misunderstood how long they leave people like this. You should confirm with medical personnel but based on these things certain positions can cause issues within 40 minutes, but others can go for days. I think if it's a looser hogtie and you are on your front then a few hours are fine as long as it's not too frequent. If your weight is on a joint or you're suspended it drops to beneath an hour. No idea how far below an hour though. With my limited knowledge the best I can say is that if you ache getting the restraints set up then you'll need a short time limit.
Problems can cause nerve damage, joint damage, muscle damage, and apparently blood circulation issues, all possibly permanent. So you definitely want a professional opinion.

Be careful with standing with your hands tied behind your back. When I used to do that with my ex, it'd make me feel weird and lightheaded, and I almost passed out numerous times. Certainly, it doesn't have this effect on everyone, but it's best not to find it out the hard way.

This is my favourite position and I’m used to this for quite long times so I don’t get dizzy doing that but we are always very careful when I’m standing as I might fall. The hogtie is so I can be put in it more safely as I can’t fall off the floor lol

Thank you for the reply. Yes it would be a looser hogtie just to stop me from ‘ escaping ‘ rather than totally immobilising me I’m used to having my hands cuffed like that for several hours and I just ache a bit afterwards but that’s part of what I like and we gradually built up to this too

We will try carefully to see how it all feels. I have done an hour like this now and there havnt been any issues so it is looking ok but thank you for your thoughts and very wise advice 😊😊
