Endless Ends

Ohhhhhhhhh! Airplane! Of course!

I fear I don't remember seeing Mission Impossible, but…wasn't Leonard Nimoy in that as well?

(I'm not sure how I know that.)

Wow, you are correct! Nimoy was in 49 of the 171 episodes of that show - the version that ran from 1966-1973.

I would not have known that either! Lots of stars used that vehicle to launch their careers, it seems, including Sam Elliot.

I think you’re thinking of Martin Landau (in Mission Impossible) who was also in a tv show called Space 1999, so he probably knew Spock. :D

^^^I have no idea how I know any of that info since I never watched any of those shows. Knowledge is weird.

My knowledge has failed me!

That ran for 7 years? Yowza.

Wait.

Sam Elliot?

THE Sam Elliot?

I am going to have find some reruns….

Yeah, and whatever that goop was they used in the cult classic, but still a stinker, Blob movie that Steve McQueen was in.

Speaking of geekiness, watch this:
The original Blob was made of Silicone and red food dye, the original blob still exists in a five gallon jug and can be viewed in Pheonixville, Pa every year at Blobfest.
The remake Blob was made of Methyl cellulose, which is also used as a food thickening agent-so the next time you enjoy a “milkshake” just know that you are drinking The Blob. Enjoy!

Hey, Muscles!

I have HEARD of Space 1999. Heard, but not seen.

I feel like such a series failure. 😂

My knowledge has failed me!

First time? :p

It’s your alter ego, who doesn’t fear scorpions

Hahaha! My alter ego needs to shop for suitable attire. 😂

That first part….

You're making that up, right?

No, your knowledge is spot on!

Landau was also a regular in that show, appearing in 76 episodes.

Nimoy and Landau LOOK like they could be related, but I don't think they are!

I had to google Martin Landau, but I totally recognize his face! He was in lots of things.

Even I, amazing though it may be :)p), know this Sam Elliot of whom you speak.

Tombstone.

Nope. Every year I want to go to that and every year I miss it. The original movie theater is still there and they watch the movie in the theater it was shot in and reenact the famous “run out of the theater from the blob” scene.

Maybe your alter ego can wear this in New Orleans

<pic snip>

I had a pair of black leather pants once. Skin tight. I cannot begin to describe how difficult those things were to get on and off.

Especially after a night of dancing.

Oh. Man. 😂

I would think they’d be easier to take off, after burning calories dancing

I am guessing you've never spent the evening clubbing where the main activity was le dance?

There is a certain amount of...liquid loss. Known in some circles as…sweat.

Ladylike sweating!

Of course. :p

Well, lady sweat is the delicate sweat of flower petals, we all know that 🌺

Enny, not to move off of sci-fi for a moment, but if you haven't seen "Conagher" with Sam Elliott & Katherine Ross, it is a classic western movie and classic Sam Elliott!

I have not. In all honesty, I am not a fan of westerns. Watching Tombstone was the result of an enthusiastic friend insisting, simply insisting I view. 😂

Excellent movie. One I've watched a few times. There are probably a few others I've seen and liked, but it's a rarity. I can't even remember the last time I watched a new western....

Might have been Tombstone? Which I think I saw….idk, about ten years after it came out? Ish?

Strange, possibly, considering my antecedents.

I'm a rebel. :p

Second copperhead sighting yesterday. He was lolling in a cluster of trees near a corner of the house. All Laissez-faire and, “Aren’t I a pretty thing, with my southern-style broad banding.”

*tries to stop hyperventilating*

This was on top of last week’s brown tarantula nearly the size of my fist. And this upcoming weekend’s crawling around the attic to address a little matter of AC re-ducting.

I miss my Choos. I miss my downtown view.

I MISS MY FREAKING SANITY

This place better be fabulous once its done. All I’m saying. I mean, it will be, but, OMG…give me strength. 😂
