Endless Ends

Companion or opposing word pairs, like:

-immigrant vs emigrant
-tributary vs distributary

It’s surprising to me how often I only know one of the pair. I learned of emigrant sometime in the last few years and distributary last week!

I am now wondering if there are any good vocabulary expansion classes. 🤔

My weekend was wildly unproductive.

As in I took naps both days. :p

However, not only has this very loooooong summer come to an end, some spectacular news came my way last week.

So.

(Since gifs are no longer postable.)

T'was a chaotic summer. Super busy, much obligation, people juggling, and stress. And mechanical issues. Like, one day a couple oof week ago I was mowing on the Zero and smelled fire. My presumption was that someone had a burn pile going.

It was me.

I was on fire. 🙄

Or at least the Zero.

Fortunately the SO was home. He took a look, plunked down a string of incomprehensible words - the upshot being he order a couple of parts and had it up and running in a couple of days.

You know, that kind of thing. Continuously.

However. *moment of suspense*

Things seem to have settled. No crisis for nearly two weeks! I feel certain things have turned a corner. 😎

In celebration I am having a glass of Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque in one of its companion pretty little glasses with the hand-painted flowers.

Okay. Maybe two glasses.

I might be somewhat impaired. :p

So. I do still have some outside stuff to do. Because it's endleeeeeeeess.

However, today I start planning closets. 😎

I am. So. Excited.

My clothes! I've been living out of boxes for forever.

*squeals in girly delight*

I've been sorting through boxes, trying to get an idea of what is needed for closet construction and storage.

Naturally I culled before the move, but there are twenty-two pairs of jeans. Twenty-two. So far.

One is a pair of work jeans, otherwise . . . .

Jeans are great. Skinny, cigaret, straight-leg, even the occasional pair of jeggings. Just toss on a cute top and go.

One designer in particular suits my body type. Too, I cater to a of couple of sizes. If running, I'm usually 5-7 pounds lighter. At my weight, that's enough to change sizes. Then there's the obligatory "fat" jeans, for those holiday or stress seasons where sugar is my best friend.

Anyhoo.

The strange thing, is aside from my work jeans, none of them are blue jean blue. 🤔

There's baby blue, steel blue, Carolina blue, and sky blue. Sage, rose, plum, varying shades of grey. There is onepair of skinny/jeggings cross that is a dark denim blue, but it has tiny pale blue hearts scattered all over.

It feels like this may say something about me as a person. What, I have no idea.

That is all. :p

Aren’t you required by state law to own at least one pair of blue Levi’s and chaps?

No flare?

No flare?
I am just not a flare kind of girl for some reason. 🤷‍♀️

* * *

I've reached that saturation point in clothes sorting where I'm starring to question my purchasing decisions. Why do I have so many clothes? That I do not wear. At least not currently.

-Long dresses, beach resort cottons, a wetsuit, climbing shoes. (None of which have I have used since moving rural.)
-A Lelo and Stitch halloween onesie. (Don't ask.)
-Five pairs of boots. One, fur lined. (We typically have one cold month a winter.)

*sigh*

My SO just showed me he can do 40 pushups.

On. The. Stairs. 😳

I can't even do one. So . . . very annoying. 🤣

Three more pairs of boots. Including another fur-lined pair from England.

It's official.

I have a boot problem. 😬
