Endless Ends

How in the world have I missed these two "beauties"?? The result of late night browsing . . .

The Black Cat - 1933 . . .

The Raven - 1935 . . .

I HAVE SEEN THE BLACK CAT

Enjoyable, even though wildly melodramatic. The end has a twist that caught me off guard. ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ

The Raven....

I'm not so sure. Sounds vaguely familiar, but the files aren't pulling up definitive images. I'm going to see if I can find this for the weekend. :p

You canโ€™t go wrong with those two guys.

Also check out The Body Snatcherโ€”with Bela and Boris. Directed by Robert Wise (The Haunting). ๐Ÿ‘

I'm think I may have seen The Body Snatcher, but I'm not entirely sure. It and The Raven are both pay to play right now. Most annoying. Those old movies are always easy access unless it's October.

So annoying.

* * *

The Godzilla movies arrived today! In a fancy color-print book with all kinds of Kaiju tidbits!!

I feel so fancy. :p

If you're interested, join their mailing list. They have 24-hour, 50% off, flash sales once or maybe twice a year. Makes it less painful to purchase collections. Like Akira Kurosawa. Or Godzilla. :p

I had to search After Hours. A black comedy I've never heard of!
After Hours was pretty wild. Well worth a look.

'Tis strange. I always find the black comedies are funnier if I lightly imbibe.

Otherwise, I frequently find them a smidge depressing. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

No idea why. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Oh yeah this is one you want to imbibe for. It gets weird and tense. I kinda like those movies though. Uncut Gems comes to mind.

Why yes, yes it is! :p

It has great critical reviews.

Sometime, @NRJLIVES4ever, I think your arty, highbrow taste is over my head.

And then you drop in some slasher flick reference and I know we're siblings under the skin. :D
Yeah my taste is all over the place really. I like everything from Oraon Welles to Freddy Vs. Jason. :p

I like that about you!

My tastes are all so drearily one note.

Well, maybe two note. Classic horror and mystery.

Oh! Sci-fi.

Okay. So three note. Definitely three note. :p

Still, I don't have your breadth of appreciate. I'm still trying to process that meta-horror you suggested. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lol which meta horror? I do remember trying to sell you on Terrifier 2 I think. ๐Ÿคฃ

I watched the clip you sent like six times.

And sent it to two friends.

I have not worked up the courage - yet - to watch the whole thing. ๐Ÿ˜‚
YET being the key word. :p

It's absolutely not for everyone. But you DID curiously watch the clip 6 times. So this just might be for you. ;)
