Embarrassing Movies

LMAO!!!

Reminds me of when I was in college. We got stoned every sunday night and watched the muppets.

I LOVE the Muppets! :nana:

Muppet Treasure Island is one of my favorites! :D

I love to watch Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It took me a while to get my kids to watch it, but now they can dig it too!

I remember watching that movie and being terrified by the Umper Lumpers!!!

I watched Predator (that Arnie one) when I was 5 and didn't get scared once but there is something about those little orange buggers I don't trust.

Umper Lumpers... Oompa Loompahs whatever their called if I ever saw one i'd be off and running in the other direction!!! :)

Has Rocky Horror been mentioned yet?

Anyone ever attend a midnight screening?

Anyone ever dressed up to attend a midnight screening?

:D

(Dammit, Janet, we love you!)

Edited to add - Yes, I know the words are "I love you!" but my best friend through high school was named Janet - hence the private joke that still exists between the group of us!

VB, I cannot bear Stallone, not one hooded eyelid or syllable. I have not seen a "Rocky" movie.

Gawd, what's up with you?!

Perdita

Oh I LOVE Rocky! Perdita, you don't know what you are missing.

I never wanted to watch it, I hate boxing and don't consider it a sport, but it's more about overcomming. I felt like it wasn't about boxing at all, that boxing was more of a metaphor or whatever in this movie.

I like Stalone though. Not that I'd see something just becuase he's in it. Some of his newer stuff is just lame action flick stuff.

But I promise, Rocky is not like that at all!!!!

The list of 'bad' movies I like could fill a book. I'm not embarrased by them though.

Peggy Sue got Married
Hudson Hawke (ok, I'm a little embarrased by that one)
Grease 2
Rags to Riches
I Love Trouble (I LOVE this one)
Desperately Seeking Susan

The boyfriend says people are embarassed to like Dogma, but I think it rocked.

Which brings me to anything else with Jay and Silent Bob. (Love Bob, hate hate hate hate Jay.)

Pauly Shore movies.

Bedazzled.

George of the Jungle

The Waterboy.

And I used to have a crush on Adam Sandler, so I could be ashamed of that alone, but I'm not. When I had a crush on him he was 'canteen boy' on SNL so I suppose I should be *really* ashamed. It's hard to have a crush on him now because he's too gross. (He makes jokes about things like 'poopy pants'- ewww!)

I won't admit that I like WWE wrestling that my boyfriend watches- cuz I don't! *honest guys, I don't, I really don't*

Kids stuff:

I used to like Barney.

I like Mr. Rogers.

I like Dora the Explorer.

I loved Jimmy Nutron the first Million times or so.

I watch Passions!!!

I like Full House.

And I'm truly ashamed to admit that I have succumed to a fascination with Mary Kate and Ashley.

I also like Dawson's Creek. (watching it in syndication is so much fun:))

Oh yeah, and Elvira movies.

I like that one where she inherits a spell book and a house and a dog, in this fundamentalist christian town and she makes this recepe for the communtiy picknick and it makes everybody horney.

Funny!!!

I like Bedazzled

Hudsen Hawke

George Of The Jungle 1 & 2

The Water Boy

And as for Pauly Shaw movie's well BIO-DOME is the only one I like

Thats if for the ones I like from your list

Oh but I do like WWE(F)

movies and things I really would be embarrased by aren't unpopular ones, but ones that go against my view of myself and are more likely to be popular ones, since I pride myself on being an individual, a non-conformist and going against the grain.

Stuff I wish I didn't like:

Family Guy

Scream

Anything on E! (I love all those stupid celebrity profiles and stuff)

The Real World (but I only watch it if it's on marathon.

Joe Shmo

sometimes I sneak a peak at Howard Stern. For pity's sake don't tell a soul!

I forgot.

South Park.

And American Pie. I'm not proud of likeing that 'trilliagy'

But my favorite part of the first one was the line,

"Say my name bitch! Say my name!"

I was wracking my brain because I see WAY too many films, and Coneheads was the first thing that came to my mind, but then looking thru Video's and DVD's my shame struck me.

I'm not certain if it's more embarrassing than Xanadu, but it does come relatively close.

Paul Verhoeven, director of some of my favorite films, The Fourth Man, Basic Instinct and Total Recall made a film called 'Showgirls' which in a closeted way, I enjoyed, but I'm pretty sure it was for the gay factor. . .ya that's it :D

At least I have an excuse ;)

Have you seen Bound with Gena Gershwin, and Jenifer Tilly.?

I don't know it if has been mentioned already, but I giggled to Beavis and Butthead Do America.

I also remeber renting Crossroads and Glitter for laugs with some friends, and I found myself thinking "Hey, this didn't suck as bad as I thought it would."

B&B, that was pretty funny. God I hate to admit that.

I forget about "Hairspray". I miss fat Ricki Lake, she was fun then and Debbie Harry with the bomb in her wig.....LOL.

Is that the one were the girls parents' are trying to hypnotize her to like boys of her own race? "you like white boys"

That was pretty funny!

Ronald McDonald

Anyone seen those movies you used to be able to by at McDonalds?

Ronald McDonald and the Visiters From Outer Space.

"Oh ALiens
We welcome you..."

songs in my head now:rolleyes:

When the first one (camping in Far Flung Forest) came out, I was suprised to find out that all the local teanagers loved it and sang all the songs.

The first one was the best.

(and that's not saying much)

Asking questions in school is a great way to learn,
If you try that stuff here you might get your legs broke,

It might easily happen to you again folks,
