Email notifications

I have answered "YES" to question #1, but "NO" to question #2.

I like to sign on to Lit and see if there are any new posts to any threads I am interested in --- ones I have subscribed to, but don't want to have an email sent every time.

Do I have to answer the first question with "NO" to get rid of this? And also, what sort of email notices am I turning off if I say "NO" to question #1?

Question #1 is for newsletters and such, not for emails on threads.


I've been up a while, and may have confused what you were saying, but what you want is email's letting you know of responses only to specific threads, right?

If so, click NO to question #2, but then on the specific threads, click EMAIL NOTIFICATION at the bottom. That will subscribe you to that thread only.

Now I have them both set to "NO"

Let's see what happens.

I just do not need to see an email every time someone posts to a thread I am interested in. I can log on to Lit to see that.
