Please, tell me, If one submits a story to literotica, will that author be notified as to whether the story has been accepted or declined for postings via email from the editorial staff? Please email me back with info on this subject at evesdemise@yahoo.com. Thank you

I'm also curious to know the criteria on a story being refused. And if a story is declined for posting on the site, does the author get an email about it? (I have a friend who submit a story awhile back and it has yet to be posted. She assumes that it wasn't good enough but never receive any email other than the one confirming it was received.)

I can't speak for Laurel, but just after they got back from Europe she told me that she had 240 stories backlogged to read, edit and post.

She reads every story to check for content etc, they may not have caught up yet. You may have noticed how many stories are posted each day. Way up from several months ago.

I have three stories submitted and am awaiting them. As far as I know, she doesn't play favorites.

If she found something objectionable she would kick it out. Under age being the most serious thing I would think of. I wrote a story, and found to my horror that I'd put an age for one of the characters that was under 18 - I don't want trouble and I'm sure Laurel and Manu don't want it either.

Something like that could close the site down. That story incidentally was not sent in, but written for a friend. I would not even send it over the internet to a friend as a personal message to her before taking the underage line out. Uncle has long ears, and I don't want to tread on the Fed's toes.

You can refer to them as young, etc. So be patient and I'm sure they will get your posts out. I've got a hot true story sent in, told to me by a friend. It's really hot and I want to see it in the Extreme Section. I'm as anxious as anyone else. So hang in there.

Thanks, Tawny, for the spot-on explanation. I apologize to all the authors... I'm still several weeks behind. I've been busting ass to get caught up, but the stories keep flowing in - like 15-40 a day. I'd like to be able to email all the authors and let them know the status of their stories, but with the number of authors and stories in queue that would take days and then I'd be even further behind. If you're an author and you're wondering about a specific submission, feel free to email me to check the status. I apologize for the delay. As soon as we get the new scripts in place, there should be little or no backlog. Thanks for your patience, and take care..
