Ekserb's picture thread

I'll try to get something new done today. :) I'm going horseback riding this morning (another singles event) and I'll be back home after lunch. Hopefully I'll be in the mood to be naked. Hehee.

In the meantime, does anyone else have any trouble getting the email alerts when someone posts on a subscribed topic? My preferences are set for immediate notification, but there are many, many times when I will sign on to this forum and notice a new post (or two or three) since my last visit and I never received an email. This morning was one of those times. I got an email about Mign's first reply last night, but nothing about her subsequent posts or Tigerjen's. Am I doing something wrong? I would think that if it works at all it should work all the time.

Have fun horseback riding today!

As for receiving email alerts for a subscribed thread, sometimes when I post or anyone
else posts in my Love Cafe on the Playground, I don't always get an email alert even
though after *every post* I make I select the option for "instant email notification". I
have to select it every time because the times I didn't I was automatically unsubscribed
from my own thread! Also has happened to other threads that I've been subscribed to
as well. It's a very strange thing but I have a link on my Mac via AOL to "favorite places"
and I have the link to my User Control Panel for Lit and when I click on that it automatically
takes me there and I see all the the threads that I'm subscribed to, the posts that have
been made , and may not have had an email notification. It's very strange.

Sorry for babbling but am looking forward to more pix from you hopefully today......hope
your pix can warm me up on this cold day here in CT as during the night while asleep it
snowed......

I love the pics, they look reallyt good in black and white was that done deliberatly or was it an old camera? either way wouldnt mind seeing more :p :D

Thanks! They are all shot in color, then converted to B&W with a Photoshop plug-in. I like the way the black and white equalizes everything in the image - nothing is brighter or more attractive due to its color, just its luminance.

I have only ridden a horse one other time in my life. When I was a kid my cousins lived in the rural part southeastern Florida. We went over one time and they were stabling horses and they threw a saddle on one of them and gave me and my brother a chance to ride him.

Apparently they hadn't strapped that saddle on very well and it slowly rotated around the left side of the animal as I was riding and eventually he decided that he didn't want me on his side and started to gallop, easily tossing me to the ground.

Today was the first time since, and I'm still not sold on the idea of using horses as a means of transportation.

While this one (Ricky was his name) wasn't as flighty as my first, he definitely had a mind of his own. He listened to me maybe ten percent of the time. For the most part I didn't mind, as he would jst follow the horse in front of him and that was fine. It was when one of the guides would encourage everyone to ride a little quicker that I would have rather had a horse that followed commands a little better.

After about an hour he and I started to gel, and then he would do as I asked about half the time.

I brought my camera along for the ride and now I know why I never see a picture of a cowboy with anything on his back. That damn thing is sharp when it slaps you in the back over and over. I have a nice red blotch on the right side of the small of my back. It'll probably be a bruise tomorrow. I should have left the camera in the car for the ride - I didn't get a single picture while on the horse, just a few before and after.

So now I know: I prefer to take pictures of the horses at the track instead of riding them in the field.

Oh, man, are my legs sore. :)

I'd love to break out the massage oil and give you a soothing rubdown for
your legs, and then some..... ;)

Today is even worse than last night. My back, legs, and ass are killing me! Please start the rubdown as soon as possible!

Yep. Definitely have to poke fun now. :D

i have no sympathy, sorry. i used to break and train horses, so was riding anywhere from 6 to 12 hours a day, every day, for a long time. There's a reason equestrians have good bodies.

Now get me in the water and you can poke fun right back, so it's all fair.

Oh I will! Very much obliged! ;)

*breaking out the massage oil* Allow yourself to lay down and relax
while I rub you down so you will feel much much better!

Chihuly art glaas

Hi all! I know I promised some new nudes, but it hasn't happened yet. So sorry!

I did take a photo rip to Fairchild Tropical Garden last weekend. They are showcasing an artist named Dale Chihuly with art glass sculptures all over the gardens. It is really spectacular and I managed to take some nice pictures. I hope you like these:

Thank you, my dear. I tried to convey the brilliance of the actual pieces on display.

INCREDIBLE pictures, Ekserb! Very very colorful......and I've never seen glass
sculptures like that....very cool! :)

Woooooowwwww.... Neato! :D

i could easily see this one
Seven
somewhere in my yard.

Then again, the play of the light on the glass in this one
Eight
is just fascinating. Very simple, but still enough going on to draw interest.

Thanks, everyone!

If you've been to Las Vegas you might be familiar with this Dale Chihuly's work. He did the famous glass ceiling in one of the lobbies of the Bellagio Resort and Casino.

I'm going sailing today on the Heritage Schooner on Biscayne Bay. I'm hoping to get some nice pictures, but I'm also feeling a little under the weather, so we'll see how it plays out. I feel a little better than last night, so the worst might be over at this point.

Hi Ekserb. I have enjoyed looking through the photographs that you took, you are not a professional photographer?

Nope, not at all, but I do enjoy photography and maybe one day it will be a source of income. For right now I'm just a hobbyist.

Thanks for the compliment!

Happy Holidays to you Ekserb! :) Do you have any plans?

Am looking forward to more pix of you, I know others are as well! ;)
