Ekserb's picture thread

You are very welcome. I love to see pics like yours so I will certainly be around for a long time. Besides, I still haven't made it off the first page of your thread yet...I have to give each pic its proper due and study the composition, lighting and of course, the subject! ;) (The photogeek in me loves the first two aspects and the pervy nymph in me appreciates the last!)

Love your av btw...I drool over that camera every time I see it. :cathappy:

Thank you! I like a woman who drools a lot! :)

I have to admit, this camera is one of the finest purchases I have ever made. Every time I use it I'm more and more impressed with its capabilities and the output is just amazing. I have always had a fondness for photography and since I got the 7D I have fallen in love with the art all over again. Of course, the new lenses every few months are going to drive me to the poorhouse sooner than later, but it's worth every penny!

Of course you can take partial credit, but my most loyal supporter has always been tigerjen. She has been there since the beginning. (Her aural talents are quite good, too!)

Awwwwwwwwwwww I'm flattered, thank you much! :)

I'm glad you had such a wonderful person cheering you on from the start. I'd be happy to jump on the bandwagon with her!! I'm looking forward to seeing any new pictures you take...you are very creative in your picture taking.

Hiya NymphGoddess! :)

Ekserb does have some terrific pictures, doesn't he? ;)

I remember when he had another picture thread here on Lit way
back and they were good then too. The improvement has been in the
quality due to his newer camera, and even using the black and white
film at times for a "mysterious" aura. Those particular pictures remind
me of a coffee table photography book with all black and white photos.

Wow, that was some race wasn't it?

I particularly like the 2nd one. The way the horse's tail is flying...beautiful!

Love that Grey one ! It looks like he is really diggin for it. By the Way which horse won? I found that when I take my Camera to an event like that I get so caught up in the picture taking I miss the event

Thank you! I wanted to get two different kinds of action shots. I posted two with a slow shutter speed to get a nice long blur on the background, and the one you like was taken with a very short shutter speed to freeze all the action. I didn't take enough care to de-focus the background with a wide aperture, but other than that I like the way the horse is positioned and the way the dirt is flying up behind him and around where his hoof impacts the track surface.

I have no idea who won unless I snapped a picture of the winner as it crossed the line. Like you, I didn't pay enough attention to the race, just the participants. :)

Thanks!

well i didnt know you whenyou were 1st on here but im so glad youve decided to come back

wonderful

oh my, this is such a lovely photo!

:rose:

Thanks, Ran. I still think the background is too cluttered, but the horse is perfectly positioned with just the one foot planted (actually, just leaving the dirt) and the other three so gracefully moving under the horse. He looks like he's about to take flight. :)

Ekserb is easy on the eyes......that's for sure! ;)

His last pic thread was terrific, but looking back and comparing the
pictures on this thread now and back then, the camera he's using
now is a lot better, plus he also likes to dabble in the black n' white
film for certain shots as you've seen on this thread.

I'm sure this thread will last quite a while....its been hopping a lot
recently! :D
