I was touched by them being dyslexic, yet still driven to write (as a friend of mine also is).

I’m not an editor, but thought I might get more attention than they do if I asked.

I've always been intrigued about rose coloured glasses being used to help with dyslexia. Do you know how the colour actually does the trick, what's the neurological effect going on?

That's a smorgasbord of content. You might find the incest purists (it's a fairly vanilla category when all is said and done) will push back against that mix of kinks.

Others closer to the category can weigh in, but you might want to do some reading there, to see how such combinations get on.

Or you might just say, I don't care what the purists think, and power on.

There is dyslexia in my family and the theory sounds wonderful. Sadly, the research I’ve done (and I’m not a medical specialist) suggests that there is no quick-and-easy solution from coloured lenses. I'll repeat the warning I always give in these situations.

It takes a professional editor about an hour to review 1000 words. Assuming that your 100 pages is referring to a standard Word page, that would be 30-40 hours work. And effort. Editing is exhausting.

So while I hope you find someone, and I laud @EmilyMiller for starting this thread, it's important for both you and your potential editor to be aware of what it is you're asking.

I suspect what he needs (and this maybe goes for many) isn’t a full-on editor, but a proof reader / beta reader. I know that’s not a role in real publishing, but I think it’s a common Lit need.

I would never describe myself as an editor, but I often do hybrid stuff, catching errors, suggesting better phrasing, and also commenting on plot / character elements that could be handled differently. What I don’t do is to rewrite stuff myself. I might say “try something like this” but that’s it.

Even so, it’s a lot of work I agree. And not always appreciated by some, particularly the more egotistical.

I have written 85 stories with no tentacles in them. But I was obviously thinking about tentacles while writing.
