Ok I am new at this making CD stuff. I have downloaded some songs from WinMX. Then I used Adaptec to put them onto a CD. Now I am wondering if I can edit the songs somehow. Some of them kinda end abrubtly etc.. I would like them to fad out and sound more professional. Anyone know how I can do this? Also I put a track onto CD that I do not want, can I erase it? I know I can erase it from the line up for future CD's but I want to know if I can erase it from a CD that is already recorded. Thanks in advance for any help.

rewrite

The only way i know if it's a rewritable cd most people i know buy writables because they are cheaper . Good luck

I know I can rewrite it, but I mean editing the songs. Making them sound better.

Once you "close out" a data CD, or write an Audio CD, it's permanent. If you're just storing MP3's on a re-writable CD with DirectCD, you can overwrite existing files or delete them -- you can't play those in an audio CD player though.

About editing MP3's or CD audio files:

There are many programs available for editing and mixing audio files available -- I don't know any by name to recommend, you'll have to search the download sites for one you like.

You might have to convert the MP3 or CD audio files to WAV format, edit it and the convert it back to the format you need to save.
