I had 37 or so votes, not sure how many views, and about 9 pcs when the announcement was made. Maybe one or two actual pieces of feedback.

Since winning the rating's dropped from 4.82(4) can't remember which it was to a 4.55 with 30 more votes.

I have to agree with Dampy... most of the feedback was from AH or contestants.... but ya know... I aint complaining. I loved writing these stories too much to complain.

Well I hope you're sitting on a different part of the Trinity than the one I drive over now and again. It smells to high heaven and I don't think that's where I'd choose to be. But I have seen parts of it that are nice and it's nice to know you're here. Country state of mind isn't a bad place to be at all, if you ask me.

There's bound to be something in the non-existent rulebook about this. Can someone who finished second, also finish last? We may have to take this to the Supreme Court, to the House of Lords, to the United Nations, and/or anyplace where Og has a paid-up, high-limit tab.

Those of us who can never manage to finish among either the winners or losers, stand in awe of such an accomplishment, pixiesjuice.

Now that I've been a good sport, I'd go stick my head in the oven and turn on the gas--except we've got an all electric kitchen.

Who knows?

It was suggested that folks getting less than 25 votes should get dis-credit for that shortcoming. Be careful Doc. If you say too much you might be expected to come up with the loser rules for the next contest.

Hey doc,

I'm guessing it's not that you don't understand it's that you don't agree. So I'll take the plunge; what's wrong with it?

It took twenty five votes to be eligble for the earthday contest, so anything less would not qualify. What's wrong with suffering a penalty for not making 25 votes?

Yes. 25 votes is the minimum required to be eligible for the main contest. If a story doesn't get 25 votes its appeal is probably limited.

Many of my new stories get 5s. When they get 10 or more votes the rating then stabilises at a more realistic score. For a few short hours one of my stories was top rated of all stories on Literotica because it reached 10 votes, all 5s. It is now at 4.70.
