DVS: Pack Rat Dom

I know, I know...I think it's done, now.

Personally, I think it's a dumb system. I found out today, you don't just need to worry about 100 total messages, but you need to clear out your message tracking, too.

What gives? This is computer software. It should tell you when you're getting close to full, and it should have a help file that explains what you need to do.

It should have archiving available, and maybe date filters so you can keep only messages before or after a certain date.

You should be able to search the text of all your messages like you can the forums, to look for a message you've got saved for a reason.

And, you have to put a check in the box and then go all the way to the bottom of the page to delete it. Unless you want to open the message to read it, then there is a two step delete option at the top of the message.

Am I asking too much, here? Haven't you ever been caught off guard with your PM box full? Obviously, PMs were an afterthought in this softare package.

Hey, and what's this about a PACK RAT? You draggin' my name around in the dirt? I don't care if it is true!

Well, at least she did say please, right? And, I wasn't really bitchin' at BrightFlower as much as the damn Lit PM system. OK, I know, I've bitched enough...get on with life.

Now, cellis, if I didn't have to get some sleep... :D

Ahhh, sweet dyslexia!

I opened this thread expecting a comparison of DVS to Frank Sinatra! Imagine my surprise to find him being mucked up with marsupials instead...

Me too! And didn't someone on a Talk thread say something about DVS singing? Was that serious or a joke? Do you sing DVS? If so, how seriously? (I mean I can carry a tune and impress the heck out of my kids sotto vocce (if that's the right term) in the car to old Motown hits....))

So, what you're saying is you can carry a tune as long as you have a good bucket handy? You sing softly enough not to be overheard above the actual song, so it sounds like you are doing quite well. Hummmm...many people are this way. Singing in the car, in the shower etc. There's nothing wrong with that. :)

Now, as far as me being compared to ol' blue eyes? Not a chance. Way over my head, and also a different style, completely.

You Still aren't explaining why someone -- Callista? -- said that you sing. (Actually my voice has always been quite nice -- I've even had some professional training, mostly to learn how to make it carry well without pain. My mother sang professionally as a kid, until she took up smoking. My voice is a lot like hers, though she'd never admit it.)

I'm gonna go look up that quote and badger her, if you don't care to answer

You know I heard this same rumor last night....

DVS the singing Dom....

Heard you had a very nice voice at that!

Well, you haven't read my profile then, have you. Yes, I'm a musician, and the singing goes along with that. I don't consider myself even close to a "singer" such as someone on American Idol, who would stand up and sing a song. I do my own thing.

Been doing it for longer than some on this forum have been alive, I'm sure. I'm even college trained, if that means anything. Actually I probably use maybe 5% of my training. What I use mostly is from the school of hard knocks in these many years with a little of my education mixed in as glue.

I bet that is why I'm such a good Dom. I guess I take my aggressions out on the subs. That school of hard knocks taught me an awful lot. That, and the fact that I treat the female body as a musical instrument that can be played legato or presto...pianissimo or forte.

Now, when it comes to ass fucking, that's where fresco and forza come in. :)

 Now Why didn't I think of that? Maybe because it seemed to be such a mystery, it never occured to me the info could be had like the Purloined letter? Excuses, excuses. I'm an idiot. (But I think there's something about your AV that made me assume your profile would be as dearth of info as... mine. Now why, looking at that AV, would I assumed lanky, either? Same reason you might have assumed that my body fur is much finer and paler?)

 Uh, I think I can translate forza.

Got my own schooling at HKU, but I like the sound of that musical instrument bit. Like to get a bit of sound out, do we?

ut fresco, for music, is beyond my school musical training -- in painting it means, if I recall, something like: to paint on a wet surface
Somehow I'm not sure I like the sound of that. (Yup, I paint, too. Actually been Paid to do that, unlike the singing.) Now if you'd said Plein Air....

that devil seems to assume Microsoft could do better? Think of the viruses it'd attract! :)

Aren't our profiles there for us to introduce ourselves, if we choose to? Granted, some don't use it that way, though.

And, I don't think a lot of AVs really reflect that much of the person behind it. I've seen some rather large male members that I think are actually probably just a tinsy bit smaller, in real life. But, lanky was very correct, at one time, as I've already told you.

I just like Hitchock's movies. He always seemed to torment the viewer (usually along with his female lead), until the very last minute. And, he never seemed to get very excited, himself. A class act, if you ask me.

Oh, I've been paid for painting, several times. I did a lot of painting in my youth. I mowed yards, too.

Translations don't do so equally for painting and music, I guess.
Fresco; perform in a vigorous or lively manner.

But, just looking at forza could give you a pretty good idea of it's translation.
Forza or actually con forza, "with force"; perform a passage forcefully.

Don't know why I assumed you'd be a mystery man, but i did. For me, it's more a matter of indecisiveness. One reason I keep switching AVs, sig lines, etc. That and being a bit of a what's the word? patchwork? chameleon? multifaceted? Mishmash?

Yes, and 'at one time' tells me you aren't now, which lead me to wonder... about other threads on domness and, if I recall, weren't you the one who didn't like the term dom because it made you think of Dom Deluis?

Me, too. Love them and have seen most on large screen old-timey movie screens. Just focus in on you here a bit.

Houses, or portraits? Let's see -- I waited cocktails for a bit as an underager.

Yes, as I said, I figured that last.

Actually, it never occurred to me. I tend to look at people and try to get to know them by the way they present themselves and the things that they say.

I like being surprised by people. I like discovering little things about them... like your singing. I could have read your profile and learned that you were a muscian and a songwriter. But I like finding those things out in a round about way... like discussing you with a mutual friend who mentions your talents in casual conversation.

It adds dimensions to people. I like finding that depth in others. I liked finding those things out about you.
