drugs better than sex?

Some of you might think that this is a no-brainer.
"Of course sex is better than drugs!
what sort of a junkie freak are you?"
That is my question though.
Given the choice of using any drug out there as well as being given the choice of having sex with anyone
you wanted to.
What would you choose?
now, these are your two choices
you can't do both..it's one or the other.

Personally, I would choose the drugs.
I have always been attracted to morphine and oxycodone, these sort of narcotics.
Not just because of the euphoria they can produce, but because they shut down the sex drive.
I've tried a little of everything once. Twice or more if I liked it.
I always wanted the sex
I never got it, at least not the way that I wanted it.
My solution was to self-medicate
I will be very curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

Sex. Any day of the week, month, season, year, decade, century or eon.

Sex.

I am sorry but I absolutely despise drugs. They have sentenced my brother to a shortened and intensely painful life and I can find no redeeming value in the so-called "recreational" drugs.

IA951, it doesn't mean that I think you are a bad person, but I am truly sorry you feel the need to falsely enhance your life in that fashion.

except...

no comment on the kind of person i think IA951 is.. I'm mouthy, but I'm not mean

'nuff said :)

I would choose the sex if I had to make the choice.

Truth be told though, it all depends on the woman I'm with.

Coming from someone who spent most of my youth growing up in Central America, where there are PLENTY of different, and very potent drugs, I will say sex, only because being on drugs doesn't always allow you to "perform" correctly all the time. Though I certainly tried, ALOT.

Same sentiments here- and I can be mean as well as mouthy, but this time I'm not saying anything- lol.

Any drug that would heighten my already extremely high sex drive. :D

Actually, I hate drugs, but sex is good :D

You don't need to feel sorry for me. No one does.
I do what I do because I want to.
I'm a single male with no close family. I have a job, I work hard and support myself.
I like to take something to kill the boredom, to feel good basically.
I am of the belief that it is no worse than someone else getting drunk on the weekend or whenever.

another question

In addition to the main one.
If you choose sex, why?
You will have to forgive me.
I'm a very curious person.

My drug of choice would be chocolate and the nice thing about that is you don't have to choose. If the sex is bad "no worry" cause you KNOW the chocolate is going to be great.

ok above all i would pick sex cuse hehehe it is soooo goood
both penatrative and oral sex
but every now and then when the mood is right
i would smoke a little weed to enhance the plasure
but i dont or hardly ever smoke weed
i feel i give better blow jobs sober than not sober

I think this is an interesting thread.
I just became involved with someone who used a lot of drugs in the past. On more than one occasion my partner had told me that he used drugs to feel the way he does when we have sex.

To somewhat answer Miles---does alcohol count? Afterall it is a drug?
With the partner I have, I've been able to trust him enough drink more than I normally would. I can remember that the sex is good but I don't seem to remember as much, as vividly. It all seems to blur together.

the reason why

Nobody mentioned the use of sex and drugs at the same time.

Nobody mentioned it is because that was not the question.(to let you know)
Its an either/or situation the way I see it
Your either going to have sex or take drugs, I think.
I personally have tried quite a few
drugs to make up for the fact that I did not have the sex.
If I would have had the sex, I would not have needed the drugs.
I saw in one of the above posts that someone knew someone who said they used the drugs to feel like they did
when they had sex.
I always felt that the euphoria you got from taking whatever drugs was above and beyound any sort of sexual encounter.
I mentioned above that I liked morphine and oxy, and I do, when I can get them, however, I am totally in love with weed.
I can not imagine anything better than some really good weed.
That's living, IMHO.

This remeinds me of a joke I have between me and my roommates. We sometimes rate less attractive women based on beer amounts. Like yeah she is a six pack. Which means I would have to drink a six pack in order to want to have sex with her. The better looking the less beer. Like a case is a really nasty girl. And one beer is a good looking one.

I am amazed that not one person made the obvious statement: Sex and Drugs are essentially the same idea.

That "good feeling" you get while participating in a sexual act is a flow of endorphins, many other hormones, and of course the stimulation of numerous nerve cells. The mapping of the brain has shown there to be far more similarities than previously thought. The argument inherent in this about intimacy is not valid as we are, i believe, talking about sex (nothing more).

It is also interesting to note that the way our soceity deals with the socially unacceptable forms of each is similar, while the socially accepted forms are rampantly celebrated.

I am too tired to indulge in a proper post about this but you get the jist of my fealings.

I have been around people doing a wide variety of drugs and in my opinion...long term marijuana users are boring.

Maybe if you weren't toasted on weed, morphine, and oxy you would have understood what I said was in jest.

If you can't imagine anything better than some good weed, you've got more than a pantload of problems, Bucko.

(to let you know).

Exactly. You can get an endorphin high from exercising as well. If you use narcotics/opiates regularly, exercise will cease to give you that high.

The key, as the cliche goes, is moderation in all things. The body is delicate and balanced. Too much exercise, too much beer, too much caffeine, too much pot, too much chocolate - all of these throw off your balance and actually in the long run inhibit your ability to experience pleasure. What's too much? Depends on your body chemistry. Some people drink or smoke daily and it doesn't adversely affect them - in fact, it decreases their overall stress level. Others (aka wussies like myself) are so sensitive even to alcohol and caffeine that we have to watch what we take in and plan ahead (taking extra vitamins, getting rest, etc.) if we're going to party.

You have to know yourself in order to maximize the highs and minimize the lows. If you spend more time hung over and feeling shitty than you do drunk & having fun, you're wasting valuable time. IMHO.

IA951 is a self-professed misogynist. Of course he'll pick drugs to sex because he isn't gay.

I prefer sex to drugs because I happen to like my brain cells and I also think that I'm such a tres cool person that inebriated isn't something I need to be for others or myself to enjoy my company. It's pretty pathetic when you need to be inebriated just to enjoy your own company.

You prefer drugs?

Wow, you're serious aren't you?

I enjoy a bowl now and then, but if my choice is dope OR sex... I'm goin with the sex. I'd prefer to have both (just DON'T get stoned and turn on a strobe light before having sex. BAD idea! ;) ), but if it comes down to a choice, there really is no choice.

Please get help for your depression and addictions before it is too late.

You refer to your pattern as "self-medication." Right you are.

Well, I'm not currently innebriated, and I enjoy the hell out of your posts. Does that count as your 'company'?
