I submitted a story successfully and then realized it was the unedited version. Thinking I had deleted it I resubmitted and now I have two submitted but not published yet. Can I delete one or both and then resubmit after I edit the story?

Yes, but can't you just delete the unedited one and keep the edited one. Or am I not understanding.

Deleting and resubmitting will put it at the back of the queue for approval so it's best avoided if possible.

If the stories are posted for review and have not yet "published", open the offending one to edit, then just save it without clicking on "publish" again.

Thanks all, now I have none pending and one that says Draft/New. I'm assuming I can now edit or add to the story. Is there a limit on how long I can leave it as a draft?

Not as far as I know. I have several that are well over two years old and one approaching three years.

However, I understand your concern. I had several stories expire on another writing site and I when my computer died, I lost everything. Backups are critical, wherever you have your work stored.

Thanks, it will give me a chance to finish the story rather of submitting it in two parts
