Don't Blame Indigo For Your Own Stupidity...This "Prank" Needs To Be Discusssed...
Some of you people are way too gullible and then when ya get burned you wanna blame someone else for your own stupidity...
This board is flooded with people who you know nothing about and yet you'll fall for a trick that has ***WARNING*** written in the post...From what I could tell about this Indigo persons prank is that red flags were being waived prior to y'alls curiousity and yet some of you still had to click on the link...
Who's the idiot?
The person who laid the trap and told you not to do something...
OR...
The "adult" on the other side of cyberspace who just had to click on the link and press "enter"...
If you recieve a strange e-mail from some unknown origin that contains an "exec. file" would you click on the file?
Are you people who got suckered into Indigo persons trick gonna start some organized campaign at this board to ban all posting of links?
Are you people who got burned really pissed at Indigo or are ya just taking out your own frustrations on Indigo for being stupid?
In a way, this prank may have opened the door for future "Indigo's" to include a virus link in their posts and what the hell can you people do about it...
I think this little stunt by Indigo has taught the entire board a valuble lesson when it comes to posting here...This board is so out of control and un-moderated as it is and now tack on the fear of having your computer fucked up for good simply by clicking on a link and the time has come for the board owners to get involved...
Believe it or not, and i've tried to warn this board numerous times only to be laughed at, but there are people out there in cyber-space who don't play nice...This prank by Indigo seems rather harmless compared to some of the "pranks" that i've heard about and know about where people use boards to turn other peoples computers into scrap metal...
If no permanent damage was done by Indigo's link then instead of raising a huge fuss about being stupid enough to click on the link try counting your lucky stars tonite that your stupidity will only result in a "minor inconvienience"...It could have been alot worse than pop up ads...
