Your welcome BS, always willing to help out when I can. :)

Ok, managed to sort my scanner out and now ready to show you some of my collection of dogs that have been in my life!

This 1st is Bella, a Beautiful Pyranean (Pyrenees to our friends across the pond I believe?) Mountain Dog.

She was lovely but, had been shot at by farmers living near her former home where she kept escaping and going to "play" with the sheep in nearby fields! (presumably she thought they were her family members!)

When we got her, she did get better and was a lovely gentle giant of a dog but, let there be thunder or fireworks or any loud bangs and she just flipped, terrified she would run and scramble into the smallest placve she could find to amke herself feel safer!

Those deep brown eyes got her out of a lot of trouble, like the day she'd just been bathed and then went and jumped into the nearby canal which had just been drained for maintenance and came out white on top and absolutely BLACK on the bottom half!!

Sadly now no longer with us.

RIP Bella

I'll show more of Bella as I come across them.

Ok, this next dog is my dear mothers last dog.

A lovely Welsh Springer Spaniel she was loyal to the end, running to neighbours when my mother collapsed but, unable to make them understand what was wrong!

By the time I got there and got my act together, she had been taken away by my cousin and I never saw her again, a matter of which I was and still am deeply saddened!

Misty, RIP darling and thanks.

Lastly for now, some of all our dogs ancestors, Timber wolves! There are moves afoot to repopulate part of the more remote areas of the UK (ok so you guys over the water didn't know we still had remote areas huh? well we do still have some!)
with wolves and I for one would love it to happen but, I worry about the intolerance of some so called "people". I am concerned that the wolves would be harrassed at best and killed off through sheer ignorance at worst!

These guys are in a wildlife park so, safe!

I never knew this!!
The other problem could be the number of people that would want to go see them, would totally ruin the whole idea of putting them into the wild in my opinion.

Yeah, my immediate first thought mark which is why it's being kept as low key as possible and the actual locations not being revealed. Have to be some pretty remote place though wouldn't it?

I hear what you say but, I would love to see it work though!!

~bump~

starting over on pics.. lost everything due to a virus.. :sigh:

i think my lil girl is part cat.. she sleeps in the funniest positions sometimes :)

have a great day all :rose:

Haw Haw, that's great HLS, thanks.

It is a bummer when that happens isn't it? I went to China last year and took around 500 pics. didn't bother to save them or anything and lost the blasted lot when I got somebody in to fit me a DVD rewriter, save the pics to disc and then reformat!
The bloody idiot couldn't get the rewriter to work but wqent ahead and reformatted anyway!

I was not too happy, there was some butt kicked over that I can assure you!!

Did get a lot of pics in the end though, a friend sent me a cd with all her pics on it!

Good to have friends isn't it??

Good luck with taking your pics again HLS and remember, save the damn things to disc or on a memory stick as soon as you download them!!

cath, thanks for coming in, glad you like the pics, do please pop in whenever the fancy takes you all I ask is that you say a little something when you do pop in so we can gauge how popular (or otherwise) the thread is.

I certainly will do that BS. I have cats but no pictures. When I come across some neat pictures I'll post those. I have been well entertained - thanks.

That's the main thing Cath, I hope you'll always be well entertained when you pop in and if you ever do find any nice doggie pics, please do think of us, the people who come in here are doggie people and we just love 'em to bits!!

Thanks to you for being so generous with your praise.

I would love to see it too.
Your right they would have to be extremely remote locations for them to stand any chance of anonimity.

Heres to them getting settled!!
