Does this mean I'm gay?

Now, would I be so labled if I were to start mentioning the balet? That would seem to do it, but there are a few good balets that I like. I love classical music and never tire of the greats.

By age 14 I had a 3 to 1 ratio of classical to modern pop music.

Ravel, Holst, Tchaikovsky (sp?), Mozart, Bethoven (again sp?), so many good ones to name...so little memory cells.

Anyway, these artists and geniuses always bring so much to musicals in infulence and songs.

What about (for the sake of sheerly good written music, speaking again of the classical medium) the early Star Wars films, soley for the classical music score. That was great, but so are so many good balets for the same reason.

You haven't lived until you've seen "Olympus On My Mind" off-Broadway.

Horace, Morris, and Deloris were the chorus.

Ah, art.

So does that mean I've never lived? Logically following that means I'm not alive and hence . . . dead. That's depressing.

You're a fur covered quadriped. You're excused.

Me on the other hand....

You weren't around of course, but 'Dita and I had that conversation about a year ago.

Anyone who can reconcile the swath Misha cut through Hollywood and New York's eligible starlet's with that attitude needs to see this oceanfront property I have for sale near Tuscon....

...and, ask anyone who's taken ballet for awhile and they'll tell you: it's one of the most physically demanding things you could ever do.

(picturing the Cloud warrior in Danskin....) well, so much for thinking only about work today....

Wish I could say "I'm sorry" and be sincere. ;)

Yes, it's best not to try to do too many things at once.

actually I can pretty much picture the over-the-shoulder glance, smirk and shake that go with that anyway....and given the view, I am not sorry, so don't you be...

I agree. In high school, I danced ... and played varsity basketball, softball, and ran track (440m & high hurdles) all four years. There is absolutely no comparison in terms of strength and stamina.

Aaaaargh! Horsey, sweet horsey, you've an unbelievably evil talent for posting the songs that drive me to madness as they circle my head.

(And you're right, he was truly brilliant in Roxanne)

Damn, sorry I missed this (and hope that the Alpaca sleeps well).

The Beckett On Film project is an excellent example of people taking works to a new medium and doing wonderful things with it. Their performance of "Play" is quite simply one of the most remarkable things I have ever seen.

I thought I was the only one who had seen it. It's insanely brilliant.

Liar, I love you and want to have your babies. Strange, mutated, gender-confused cat-horsey babies born from God knows where. In urns.

Hurrah, I'm a sweet horsey. *prance*

Sorry, was there more after the flattery? It has a way of distracting me. :D

(He did *such* a job with the twenty better insults. I have been in love with Cyrano de Bergerac since baby foalhood, and strangely this movie was one of the few that do the story any sort of justice. Depardeiu (sp?) I thought wretched, like an ox with a battle axe.)

Don't hurt yourself with your prancing, Shanglan. ;)

I never cared for Depardieu so I've never seen his. I will say that his performance in Roxanne is the only time I've ever found Steve Martin to be sexy. Hrm, it's vaguely disturbing to even type that. :D

In urns? I don't quite think the world is ready for that.

Don't worry about prancing injuries - I've had lots of practice. I am a trained professional prancer; do not attempt this at home.

Don't bother with Depardieu. It's wretched. But yes, Martin is sexy in Roxanne. It's the words. *sigh*

Now, I will give you my deepest, darkest secret. This is a perversion so twisted that civilized folk recoil in horror. There is a wonderful comedy series called "Blackadder," and around about the middle of the second season, there are several scenes in which I find myself hotly mesmerized by ...

Rowan Atkinson.

Of all people.

Dear God.

I can only plead that the beard suits him.
