I know next to nothing about Karaoke, but ran into a friend last night that says she's into it. We stopped by a bar that was having Karaoke night. She promptly got up and sang "Bitch". You know, the one with the chorus of:

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a child, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream
I'm nothing in between
You know you wouldn't want it any other way

When she finished she was all flushed and excited. I asked her if she was ok and and she said that singing "Bitch" in front of a crowd always turns her on. Believe me, she was throbbing.

I'm still not a Karaoke fan, but was wondering if anyone gets excited from singing in public or private? If so, what songs do it for you?

And if you're not a singer, are there certain songs that turn you on when you hear them?

No, I don't sing in public. They'd arrest me for disturbing the peace.

Not trying to be a smartass, but...

Karaoke will send me out of a place faster than a gunfight breaking out. I'm a real fan of live music, and most karaoke is simply painful!

That's why I like to sit up front in church, always plenty of room, & no one to torture with my singing voice.;)

I sing all the time, my co-workers claim I must know the lyrics to every song on the planet lol......Now karoke, a few pints and I may stumble up.....Especially if someone special was in the audience.........:D

Yeah, I feel the same way about Karaoke - I leave if I'm somewhere they start doing it.

But after seeing how hot this lady got, I'm starting to think maybe I should put earplugs in and see what heats up.

i enjoy going out to the local karaoke bars and getting up and singing.
my Mother In Law, just celebrated her birthday and wanted supper at the local place because she wanted to hear me sing. LOL
she likes it when i sing and the owners have asked me to come back and sing again. LOL

Yeah, it makes my head hurt.

If you want to take a perfectly good bar and fuck it up in one easy step just add a karaoke machine.

I have to agree with that. I hate it, always have, always will...

kareoke can be fun, depends on the situation and enviroment.

Actually if you want to see a movie about Professional Kareoke singers rent "Duets". It made me think just a little different about Kareoke, and gave me a new insight into it. Plus it has Gwenneth Paltrow.

Mmmmm....Gwenneth Paltrow, you say? I'm adding it to my movies-to-see list now. Thanks!

Karaoke doesn't do anything for me but I have been known to belt out a song or two. I'll get up perfectly sober and do it too :D

Bad local talent.

I didn't think much of it at all. Just a fad, then I stumbled into a place that had it. I was FLOORED.

Between Disney, Sea World, and Universal, Orlando has more than it's fair share of entertainers. Now that the new recording studios have opened because of the "Boy Groups" it has become the new Mecca of the South East for singers.

You can go to damn near any karaoke place in the area and be entertained. High quality talent. Sure, there's a few 'clinkers' in the mix, but damn few.

But to answer the question, no it doens't 'turn me on' although I have seen a few that it does.
