Does Flirting lead to an affair?

I'm real curious about other people's experiences. How many of you have flirted on a board and it led to a RL affair. If you can't tell because of spousal problems, a reply as "unregistered" would be fine.

I have begun three affairs as a result of chatting online. The last one has resulted in a great relationship that I hope continues for many years to come.

If you have had an affair as a result of chatting, did you intend for this to happen or did it just grow into more than you anticipated? In my case, it did just grow...thank goodness

Well, I'm not sure if I should be answering this as I'm in a poly relationship, not a monogamous one. When I *was* in a monogamous relationship, I had a couple people that I flirted with online on a regular basis but didn't meet. Some I did and they didn't lead to affairs. One almost did, but I backed off before it got anywhere near sex. Though the attraction was definitely there.

Now, while I don't have any regular rl lovers (because of where we live), I do have a couple in other parts of the country that I'll happily fool around with when I see them next.

I do have one guy that I've been great buddies with for about 6 years...we met irl back when I was single and had an amazing weekend of sex. I'd do it again.

I've never had a real life affair. I have developed some extremely intimate internet 'friendships'. They could be considered affairs, even though I didn't meet the men in real life. I would have met them, had the opportunity presented itself, and I would have slept with them. One, I considered leaving my husband for.

I try to keep my online relationships seperate from my offline life as much as possible. When I'm single again, there are one or two people that I talk to regularly that I would love to hook up with. But not until I'm single.

Oh Hell yeah, every damn time, no exception. I try to flirt and wammo next thing I know I'm having an affair.
