does anyone know of a decent VPN?

I've been using VPN for years and have already tried many services, both free and paid. Well, of course, you can choose a free one, but most of the IP addresses can be blacklisted, so it might happen that you won't have access to this or that source when needed. Also, I'm not sure a free VPN can really protect your data. Speaking about the paid VPN providers, there are five of them that are known to be the best for everything (working, storing data, watching content, torrenting, etc.): ExpressVPN, NordVPN, IPVanish, CyberGhost, and Surfshark. You can read the info about them here. Though if you ask Google about the top VPN services, you will get the same list. I haven't tried only CyberGhost. From my own experience, I can say that four others are great and worth every penny. By the way, there are frequent sales and discounts, so you can save a lot of money (last Black Friday I bought NordVPN at a 60% discount for two years).

A VPN doesn't really do anything other than allow you to connect to a proxy server in another country. This is undoubtedly convenient because you can only connect to the Internet through a VPN. If you want, you can use a proxy directly. For example, I often use this proxy list https://***************.org/ to connect to Pirate Bay. I can't get a stable connection through a VPN and download the file I want. However, if you want to connect to a server located in your country, VPN will work for you. In this case, there should be a stable connection.
