does anyone know of a decent VPN?

Vpns, clandestine activities, separate servers, tos breach letters from providers; you guys are really hardcore about your deviant activities.

Go Ghost or not at all...

I Firestick.

Sometimes I have a chuckle about all the vpn stuff around, it ain't gonna hide your ass from those that really want to find you. Most of these tools have holes in them and ways of getting info about you and you computer and ip address.

Don't use an OS that is already compromised is a good Start. The people that have got the emails and cease and stop doing what you doing is proof enough that they don't really work.
Most software like this is just to take your hard earned cash, and don't help anyway.
It's more a piece of mind thing anyway.

Have fun play carefully, and don't get caught lol.

I got a cease-n-desist notice from my ISP for downloading a movie torrent VIA NORDVPN.....then I got a sternly worded email from NORD stating that torrenting was against their terms of service. I was like WTF?

point taken.

Free does not mean anything good. I would not recommend using a free vpn as it is not secure. All your traffic passes through the owner of the service, which means that he has all your information. I use a paid VPN service - Veepn, not an expensive provider, a stable connection.

Witopia was my favorite paid proxy.

Don't trust the free ones unless you want someone to have everything you send.

looking like its a paid one then. looking at Nord, express and cyberghost, not sure which yet or if it'll interfere with my less than legit sky digi box (some providers get iffy about VPNs)

Mozilla has started a VPN service. It is pretty good. I used the trial and then stopped.

I'd recommend the NordVPN. I'm using it for many years without any problems and bugs.

I'd recommend the NordVPN. I'm using it for many years without any problems and bugs. I enjoy it because it is available for any gadget. I installed it on my PC, mobile phone and Ipad. I found out from a blog vladtalks.tech that VPN's are protecting our traffic a lot and it is really necessary for daily life. I know that our intelligence services are following everyone's net traffic and they know almost everything about every citizen. I don't like it and I looking for all possible methods how to prevent it.

SeanH, You're really pushing Nord. Are you getting a commission on the sales?

Forgive me all, but I am not very computer smart. What is a VPN and what does it do?

Virtual Private Network.

It anonymizes your IP (internet protocol) address which is the unique address your internet connection uses. It makes it harder for people to associate you with your internet activity.

I say makes it harder because apps and websites track you using other means including the device you connect to the internet with.

ProtonVPN has both free and paid versions

Also, the Brave and Opera browsers have them built in, free.

Thank you. I assume it is a good thing to have on my computer to be safe and anonymous?

I use Bullguard for virus protection and it works well. I wouldn't trust Kaspersky because it is Russian and Norton seems to have holes.

BullGuard also has a VPN that has good reviews. I don't use it because I'm not bothered. My IP seems to be 'somewhere in SE England' and it varies...

im using cyberghost, access to loads of countries and servers for different purposes, even some 'no spy' servers, One of those and an end to end encrypted email gives snoopers something to watch....

I use Brave, it doesn't have a built in VPN. Opera does.

Brave does allow you to open a Tor window though.

Personally, I'm using Avast VPN.

Want even better privacy, get a proxy server. It will strip out all the information you don't want people knowing about you before it leaves your computer or network.
