If literotica could be seen as a big uptown party, everyone in tux's and suits and dinner jackets, decked in finery and shiney things and that you are their, a small glass of something bubbly in your hand that you dont know what it is, you have no idea what the people around you are talking about, except that somebody feels that the newbie should be given a chance to voice his opinons, ask you if the London stock exchange should go back to the old gold value or currency system, or some sort of fixed eqity insurance policy endebiting system, and that to top it all off you know, you absulotely know that your totaly underdressed and want to run to the bathroom.

..... or at least thats how I feel when I consider posting a thread here

*wants to run and hide behind Mistress hecate, but remembers she is in florida*

Nope - for one thing it is very informal here, and I wouldn't dress up even so - I hate dressing up; if I can't go somewhere in a t-shirt (or Hawaiian shirt) and jeans then I usually don't go (unless it is a wedding or funeral and I must go to be nice to family). As formal as I get is a polo shirt and non-jean pants (not slacks, but kahki type pants, you know). Moreover, I do not drink alcohol, I don't smoke, I don't even drink coffee or tea.

Wait a second *grins sheepishly* I'm Self-consious, not new...

Not really

I always find all this fascinating but then I am a Building Contractor and a Blacksmith. I like relaxing here, but saying things can often make one wish he or she never said a word.

Happy Holiday

Yup

I do understand, Karmic. It often seems like my posts are ignored by older members. There are a lot of established, long-term relationships here and it's hard to fit in. It's like being the new kid in school, on the playground, trying to find somebody to play with. I haven't been flamed, though.

there may be shiny things and finery

but at a Lit party, I doubt they would be articles of clothing ;)

pass the bubbly!
