One of the things that's I find very interesting about all of this is that the people on the nutter side of this debate(LN's various personalites, Woody) tend to be people from far away from the United States. I think, to the people who only see the big foreign policy actions of a giant superpower like the United States, the idea that the US government is capable of something even approaching that scope and scale makes sense to them.

One of the great things about LN and her/his alts is that you're arguing against nothing. They offer no alternate theories as to what happened because that would hold them up to scrutiny. The simple fact of the matter is that none of them know anything about science, so they have to rely on discredited science that is only promoted by internet loons.
