I was hopeful that you didn't take yourself too seriously. Like p-p man, your threads seem to make "them" think. I like that.

Instead of voting, I'll say what's on my mind.
Marxis is very complex. He's a pompous ass, immature, insulting, and attention-seeking. His goal is to get everyone's attention so he can be center stage. It's not unlike a misbehaving child who doesn't get enough positive feedback. They misbehave to gain someone's attention, and even if it's negative, it's better than nothing. Without counting it appears he spends about 16 - 20 hours on Lit every day. His moods swing from patronizing to downright mean and nasty. He is intelligent and well-read. Why he behaves the way he does is anyone's guess.

Thank you for speaking your mind. Honesty is the best policy. But why not pm Marxist and ask him these questions yourself? Marxist unregistered wants to know why you behave the way you do? And when you have finished explaining yourself can you explain why I am the way I am, please?

My views on Marxist: I think he's arrogant. I think he likes to stir shit. I think, in those two ways, he's no different many posters on this BB. I find it very ironic how much heat he takes here for what he says. I've seen many arrogant, opinionated folks here on the board who do not get jumped on like Marxist does. It disturbs me how many people object to Marxist being a Black man because he doesn't "post Black" or he "posts too Black". That, IMHO, is an unbelievabe - that people who consider themselves to be openminded and unprejudiced have a view of how a Black person is "supposed" to be.
To be clear, people like Problem Child, DCL, Miles, and others have flamed Marxist in the same way they flame all out-there posters (i.e. Todd, trolls, etc.). I'm not talking about the normal flaming and name-calling that accompanies any poster who throws his views around. But there's the racist trolls and other things that have been said repeatedly here - particularly the "he don't post Black" attitude - that are very disturbing to me.
That's my opinion. Feel free to flame away!

Now babes are hurling themselves at his cyber self, he's got "investigators" trawling his academic grounds, he's got Cheyenne crowing about her "club," he's got yayati eating out of his socks.... I don't think Marxist takes himself much more seriously than numerous people here take him. I'm merely impressed, though I don't find Hitler heroic in any sense of the word.
I guess the implication is that Osama bin Laden might turn out to be a world hero if he triggers the appropriate antidote to his pan-Islamic fundamentalist fascism (that is, if revulsion against his global, anti-modernist nihilism defeats his followers). But just as I argued that those bastards who blew up the WTC were courageous, not cowardly, I don't see anything definably heroic about bin Laden (who sends others to do his bidding - like that wrecked, drunken, stoned football star who was to crash the US Embassy in Paris) or Hitler.

I respect him because he is intelligent, educated, and erudite. Clearly, he thinks deeply about important issues and has an interesting point of view. I enjoy interacting with him because he has a point of view that is frequently different from my own.
I also agree with Laurel's points about our sometimes-racist response to him.

I think there are a lot of people here who take themselves to seriously, get all bent out of shape when people post things they don't like or agree with, freak out if people post different in different styles.
What really gets me, they come on to a thread with a negative attitude already and bitch about how stupid the thread is..I don't get that!?! If a thread is started by Marxist, im pretty sure that he is stirring the shit inside. If this newbie has figured that out, how come some of the old timers haven't?
There are always going to be people that we don't like for whatever reason, I have mine...I avoid threads started by those people...why go in when i already have an idea i won't like what they have to say?

Thanx guys for all the positive and negative feedback everyone has given me over the past two weeks. The reason I've spent so much time on Literotica has been that I can afford to, I'm addicted, and I'm in the middle of a move across town (which concludes tomorrow thank God!!).
I know a lot of you think that I'm not Black enough (Hitler, Little Black Sambo, David Duke--I did not post that thread), others think that I'm too Black(Che, pro-labor, Martin Luther King), but guess what? That's what it means to be an American Negro. Although everyone wants us to be homogenous in opinion, we're not.
I like to wake things up every now and again and I thank everybody here for tolerating me to some degree (Unregistered excluded). I normally switch back and forth between this forum and Salon's Table Talk and I'll continue to do so despite what some of you have said about me and putting me on "ignore" (how cowardly is that?).
For the record: I'm Black, 29, college-educated, a some-time writer, full time pharmaceutical salesman, 5'6", and 160 pounds. If anyone would like to verify this they'll just have to take my word for it or schedule an appointment.
I wouldn't dream of quitting a community as lively as Literotica, but work forces me to cut back to afterhours posting, so if you're going to make fun of colored folks do it before I get home and make sure you go "Unregistered". And if you've got a real problem you can always PM me.

I think his 'serious' level swings to the left than all the way to the right on a daily basis..
But for someone new to the board, boy howdy he got mighty popular...good or bad.
And he takes the heat relatively well..Laurel is right...there are a lot of people who post here just to raise dander up and mostly just get away with it.

I like to spend my time here having fun, not listening to people whine about who said what or throwing a fit cause someone changed their avatar or the color of their font color.
Ya know what would be nice though? if they could keep the whining to one thread, it interrupts the flow of the discussion when they throw it in on every thread.
