Do you still access Lit while you are at work?

i love checking out Lit while I'm at work....

i have more privacy to do so than when I'm at home....more time....

luckily i don't have get caught issues....

and could care less about the ethics of doing this when i should be working....

i get my job done and then some.....

Lit adds a lil fun to my workday.....:)

i do find this thread a lil preachy....lol that "do you still..."....i think the warning and sharing of stories is great for folks that might be at risk....totally sucks to lose a job over accessing a sex site....but the "oh i'd never do something like that" posts are amusing.....i especially loved the "Porn should always be offlimits while at work".....lol....no fucking way jose......

Stay tuned....next thread......"Are you still masturbating while you're at work?"

I don't access Lit. while at work. I don't even get personal emails at work. I haven't given out the address. I need my job and finding this one took way too long to even give my company a hint of indiscretion on my part. I can always find something to reorganize if I have a lull in projects.

At the University where I worked every computer had unlimited internet access. The administration argued for and won against putting any restrictions on the department's computers to allow for 'artistic freedom'. This was told to me by the human resource department at my disciplinary hearing. Why hold the window wide open if we were never to peek through it? I realize Literotica might be pushing the envelope, but what about other sites? I do agree with Agent99 to a certain degree but I never did really understand why they offered unrestricted internet access and then slapped our collective hands for taking advantage of it. I don't know of a single employee in our building that didn't surf the net - and I was the only one to have their computer investigated.

On an interesting aside, while waiting for my interview I thumbed through a Vanity Fair back issue in the lobby. It featured an article on Lara Flynn Boyle with full page shots of her nude in a clear glass bowl, and dressed in a very small black vinyl bathing suit. I took the magazine with me to point out to administration that the images cached on my computer were, for the most part, similar or even less objectionable than what they considered appropriate for potential employees to peruse while waiting to be hired on. Interesting bias on their part, I thought.

I still got canned.

I actually am supposed to access porn while at work. It is part of our testing- see if this works while downloading useless shit. Porn is the easiest, and my boss suggested it. Porn, games, music, whatever. Download lots of it and test the speed while doing it.

I get paid for this. I am getting paid right now.

I can beat that.

I guess I'm the weirdest of the bunch again. I only access Literotica from work, my only computer is at work, I don't even have a telephone at home. My office is at my studio, so whenever you see me posting, that's where I am. I can't get fired for it, because I'm the one that gets to make those decisions, but it's not all without consequence. I still have to suffer the irritated glares of my cohorts, and bear the mocking derision in their voices. "Are you on Literotica AGAIN?" It's not the porn, because we're all a bunch of deviant perverts, but they think it's a waste of time. I tell them it's really important, but they don't seem to understand.

I have some addiction issues, but I'm valiantly trying to manage them. Look at my post totals, for cryin' out loud! Sure, I may binge once in a while, but as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, right? It might help if some of you tell them that my presence here is very responsible and moderate, and a benefit to mankind. Thanks.

As chief technologist, COO and nearly majority stockholder in my company, I get to do pretty much whatever I want while at work. Of course, since I pretty much live here, what I do in my spare time happens here too...

As "boss", I wouldn't can someone for surfing the net. I try to talk about the issues. If productivity became an issue, that's the issue, not where they are surfing, or whatever else they are up to, but the reason I have an issue. Get more work done, and I don' care.

As an aside, a place I used to work didn't fire a consultant who had over 30,000 porn images stored on his machine, file and app servers. Took up several gig. Another guy, an emplyee, had WAY more, and didn't even get disciplined. This is a huge company near many of you now.

If you are getting a paycheck signed by someone other than yourself, listen to Dilly:

Good point - and thanks for the reminder. I, like many of us probably, have a sense of "it won't happen to me." But it could. I definitely need to be more careful.

Cheyenne, I just got a new digital camera, and I haven't forgotten my promise. Just letting you know.

I have internet access at work but very little time to visit any web sites let alone here. We have had people fired but they were apparently sending nude photos back and forth. So now in addition to monitoring what goes on IT has installed "WebSense" software which blocks people from anything sexual or anything else that IT pre sets. The best policy as a user is to "keep your nose clean" to avoid tangling with the Dark Side.

"Now you're messing with a son of a bitch"

I've never accessed Lit from work. At my last job, I had yahoo messenger on my machine, and I'd chat from work - but I also used messenger for work-related stuff, because our headquarters were in the UK, and communication via 'net is a hell of a lot cheaper than phone calls.

I don't currently have a PC on my desk, as it's on order. When I do, I'll have unrestricted 'net access, and I still won't access Lit.

The closest I come to personal surfing at work is to check my gmail a couple of times a day, or to mapquest something.

I'm right up there with Jane. Not to mention, I can't imagine Lit. being enjoyable while at work. Even with my own office, I would feel quite odd accessing Lit. or any porn-related site from work.

I wonder if ginny still thinks this thread is "preachy?"

I never access Lit from my work computer. Sometimes on the weekends, I bring my personal laptop to work when I'm there alone. I will play a bit on Lit then.

I learned that the hard way, after coming to the humiliating realization that the US army "owns" dirty pictures of me.

Don't bother asking, 'cause I'm not saying another word.

It's no bother, really. This is way too interesting.
