Yes I do, quite a number of them.

Shotguns, rifles, and pistols.

I don't hunt, my son is beginning to but we both shoot trap and skeet along with my father and brother.

the military's needs are different than the civilian population's. Military members do not "own" the weapons that they were issued.

Keeping the military well equipped also means well armed. They would need the assualt weapons. I am talking of the assualt weapons in the US that are not made for the military.

Hell, a rock can be an assault weapon.

My rifle is not called an assault rifle and is not banned. As to why...i don't know. It is not fully automatic yet i can fire ten rounds in four seconds into a twelve inch circle at twenty yards.

Of course, I'm an admitted Appalacian.

Mellon Collie, you're the first anti-gun anarchist I've ever met.

For that matter- You're also the smartest & prettiest Anarchist I've ever met.

:)

Thanks.

It's kind of surprising that you've never met an Anarchist who was against the usage of firearms. Anarchy is not the absence of order - it's order without control.

I've never liked guns. And, with me battling depression, owning a gun is probably not a good idea. Sure, all the people for the 2nd Amendment can argue about their right to bear Arms. But, doesn't that just say, you have the right to protect yourself? Do you need a gun to protect yourself?

A dog & a few years of Kung Fu work for me, as far as protection goes.

I can & have used a gun to feed myself, protect my garden , crops & livestock, put an animal out of it's misery, open cans, & shoot assorted junk & waterballooons just for the fun of it.

It's a multi-purpose tool.

I'm still waiting for a certain person to define an "Assault Weapon", but I guess since he only wants to ban them he doesn't need to actually know what they are.

Anybody else want to take a stab at it? I don't mean the legal definition, I mean what you think of when you hear the term. I promise I won't jump down your throat with pages of technical jargon about how ignorant you are about guns (unless you get really snooty about it, then all bets are off) - I'll be gentle; I just want to hear if anybody even has a clue or a workable definition.

IF I did own one for argument's sake....

Then I wouldn't brag too much about it, as it's a very guarded freedom and responsibility to keep despite stupid politicians and world tyrannies.

Yes, several of all kinds. Here in the mountains there are prolly more guns per square mile than anywhere. We don't have much crime :)

An "assault weapon"?

Something the US government owns, and other governments own, but US citizens may not own without going through a whole pile of paperwork, and pay a bunch of fees, in violation of the word "infringed"..

That's an Assault Rifle, which is (at least according to the law) different than an "Assault Weapon" (whatever that is), which does not require paperwork, etc.

I am just interested in whether the people who throw the term around loosely and advocate the "banning" of "Assault Weapons" can nail down what they are saying, much less what the law says they are. So far I have heard nothing but silence.

Edited for a typo because I am not quite awake yet

Allow people to own guns, but control it long enough to rid the civilian population of assault weapons. Then the laws can relax a bit.

I own several guns, and fully support others that do.

The Reason.

The Government Can Not Be Trusted

They can not be trusted with the health of their citizens. They have deliberatly killed them.

They can not be trusted with the freedom of their citizens. They constantly destroy civil liberties.

They can not be trusted with the financial resources of their citizens. Social Security - among others.

This the US Government has proven many many times.

Screw banning hand guns. I think we should all have our own F16's.

A .270 deer rifle with scope attached that has not been used in years and probably won't fire in its current condition.

A ruger .22 semi-auto that is fun for plinking and very accurate under 125 yards.

We have a very old sawed off shot gun in the house somewhere but it is in such bad shape it would probably explode if you fired it.

Edit cause I can't spell.

Personally never owned a gun myself.

I do however own several blade weapons. Daggers, throwing knives. My swords are back in Denmark, so I guess those dont count.

Amazing how fast an attcker starts begging for his life when you start slicing him.....

You've had a lot of experience slicing people?

More than you wanna know about...works better than putting a gun to someones head too.

Xander how many swords do you have?

I have four in my collection now but I just started a year or so ago.

Three are replicas and one is real.

Two Katana replicas but only one is sharp the other is for show.

One greek short sword replica.

Real Confederate Civil War saber from my Mom's side of the family. A little dull from age and needs some reconditioning.
