A few years ago (and possibly still running today for all I know), there was a vampire television series in which vampires were now out in the open. In the first episode, a female representative is being interviewed on a news program about how vampires no longer feed off humans, yadda yadda yadda.

I only remember that one scene. Can anyone tell me the name of that series?

Sounds like Tru Blood, but it's been off the air now a couple of years.
