Well if it isn't the King of Brats himself..LoL
Hello AA!! Nice to see you :D
I hope all is well for you Bratty Bear;)

SensualGent unfortunately a lot of people forget that there is a person behind that computer they are 'talking' with...or in the case of the non-reply...not talking with. I find in general that some people seem to be ruder on line than in person...

To answer your question...I try to answer all my PMs. Have been known to get forgetful...didn't have time to respond properly or just wanted to think about it then thought I responded when I didn't....and it's rare but I've been known to ignore the occasional rude crass unsolicited first PM. But do I think it's rude to ignore a nice PM......yes

When you send someone a private message and they ignore you?

OR

Is that the accepted practice of responding to someone that you aren't interested in on the net?
Hi, SensualGent...

There's no protocol about responding to unsolicited PM's... and I think the word 'unsolicited' holds a great deal of meaning. I don't ask for, by means of posts or profile, PM's from members looking to get to know me better, cyber, or whatnot. I'm attached at present, to someone that holds my heart in his hands. He is my number one priority, and I wouldn't do anything that might place our relationship in jeopardy one day. You might call me old fashioned, but I don't want to stray in mind or spirit via PM's. I respect our relationship too much to participate in 'behind the scene' flirting.

If someone sends me a PM, I look at the content and decide if it warrants a reply. If I know them, of course I'll reply. If I don't know them, there are several ways to look at it. If I can be of help somehow, providing information or a link somewhere, I'll respond. If they are looking for a playmate, I hit the delete button. If the PM is of a dual nature, I'll answer what I can and ignore the 'come on' part.

I have found that the majority of sexually oriented PM's that I receive come from new members that have less than 50 posts. I chalk it up to their being new. I have no desire to encourage further communication of a sexual nature. Many are young enough to be my own children, lol. I figure if they've PM'd me, they've also PM'd 10 others. Hopefully, someone else that has interest will respond. ;)
