Yes and No. I flirted with all the girls in other BB's, but, they weren't protected by Free Speech. So, I couldn't say ALOT of the stuff I wanted too. Plus, I'm SURE if I ever slipped my fetish in there, I would of been canned on the spot. Actually, I WAS canned by speaking my opinion.

Here I'm amongst people who know me and whom I know. We can argue, hate, flirt, disagree, agree or whatever knowing that the next day's another day and most of us regulars will be here again.
The NY Times Forums where I post sees a different me. Most people there I'll never come across again.There's a huge range of "sensible" topics that can be covered and there I use the forceful power of my argument
to get my point across.
Here I consider myself among friends and chewing the fat, there I'm among strangers whom I'm trying to convert...

If by "act the same" you mean general tone of posts, then yes, I do. The topics are completely different on the other boards where I post and one in particular is much less a community than Lit, but my demeanor is the same.

At all boards I've been a smartass poster with an often odd sense of humor. That's one thing that is a constant with me online. And, sheesh, could I tell you people stories. "You've got some bitch ass problems in the head". Ah, the memories. Heheh But at most other boards I've actually put my thinking cap on and offered serious points of view on different subjects.
That's something I've done here (and AA) a few times before in the past, but not as often as I would in other forums. Would get more serious around here, but not many boards allow people to be as off the wall as I've been at times in the past, so I'm going with the flow of goofing around while trying not to piss too many people off.
And, for anyone wondering, other then this board there are only two I've ever been registered in where I have 1,000 posts to my name and one of them is AA. Most others I'll post to a few dozen or hundreds of times and then move on. So this is the only board forunate enough to get this many of my quality posts. *dry cough*

The other two boards I pop into are geared for a specific subject so it's pontification, not just letting it all hang out.

as for the "am i different elsewhere?" question, yes, i'm much more highly obnoxious....which is what you'd want me to say, but actually i'm a pretty decent guy and just like to talk. unfortunately i have to be reactionary on the g board to get any attention sometimes. so those that wanted me to proclaim myself an obnoxious dickhead, well, now you know why i come off that way sometimes/most of the time.....i just want the warm friendship and the fucking attention....lol.

I think I'm pretty much the same on any message board that I post on. The only difference is that on my other message boards I have been there longer and I am more comfortable. THat doesn't really count either, I know I was a bit shy at first at all the boards I have posted on too.
