I’ve had a few female friends tell me they lied about the number of partners to their significant others. I think the reasoning was fear of judgement (and why would you be with that guy?) and also because I believe the vast majority of men are sexually insecure. I think men that are insistent on a low number of partners for any prospective woman they would date are insecure about their own sexual performance and ability to sexually please a woman.
