Do we really NEED such wonderful toys to continue our chosen craft?

Haha they don't have libraries anymore. But they sound like a fascinating concept.
Indeed they do. I can think of at least 6 driving distance from me. There is one close by I walk to sometimes. The one in my itty bitty town happened as the result of the locals begging for one of their own. Traffic in/out is amazing.

It's become a trading place of sorts for discarded and donated books. Last week I happened upon a hard copy of "Sycamore Row" - Grisham's sequal to "A Time to Kill"

I have one sitting on a table in my living room. There is an extension to it in my office. It even works when the power goes off. The old rotary one I have as a backup anyway.

Wow! I had an old rotary phone for years I used since childhood. It was the 1st phone in the family and the 1st one my wife and I had when we started out. She's gone now.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a home phone that works like a cell phone w/no internet features - 15 bucks a month!:)
