Do people read the stories we write?

Does anyone actually read the stories we write, (fictious numbers aside) or is this just an exercise in futility? Sure maybe a very few people might, but I constantly get the impression not many people really read our stories.

I think a lot of people read them but they might not become members of the board.

A woman I worked with found about my stories and me on Lit, she admitted, over a few alcoholic beverages, that she masturbated to my story.

Too bad we were both in a relationship, and still are, plus I think that opportunity has come and gone.

Very few of the people one sees on the discussion boards read the stories and very few readers venture over here. I get many more private comments in email and pm than appear on the story forum.

I doubt the GB'ers read our porn. They spend too much time in the circle jerk to have much juice left.

What does your submissions page say? My oldest story.chapter has >36K views, but the other chapters run about 4-8K views. One problem is once you're off the new list, readers drop off. I'm not too popular though I seem to get 4-6K views on the new chapters, which I think is Okay.

Votes and comments are rare. I like to believe that I get so few vote/read because people are too sticky to use the keyboard to vote.:D

I'll check you out.:cattail:

I have read nothing of yours except the first few paragraphs.

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but , did you go to school as a child?

I found Lit for its stories first. I discovered the forum after a while and even now I still read stories.

my stories

some must read mine....they sure see all of my mistakes....

I was amazed at the ones that said they read it all but it stunk....wonder why one would suffer throught all that misery

your self-editorial skills could use some work. i've not read your writes, just the above post.

Yeah....absolutely hilarious...I'm always interested in the story content and the ideas presented. Writing skills vary and a good story carries itself. What's up with uptight editorialists? trolls? likely.....

I've read a few of them, mostly the non-fiction ones - which are surprisingly good.

I used to read through the comments on the fictitious stories. I'm amazed at the people who actually believe those.

Amazingly, I did not join this site because of the stories. Much later I started reading when EnglishLady posted about her books.

I think the forum and the actual story side of Literotica are mostly disconnected, but I get comments and feedback, so somebody's reading out there.

When I did I generally skipped to the dirty bits - skimming over any actual story line.

Bad spelling is a clit killer.

People read the stories I write. Fictitious numbers aside the numbers are high enough that I occasionally get paid so they can put my stories on their websites or magazines.

I asked you a fucking question!

Now answer it or I will hunt you down and beat you like a dog.

When women send pussy pics, I figure she must have read the story.

Writing stories is a great way to learn what appeals to readers, and how to reel them in.

A between your eyes title is a great lure, followed by an audacious first line. HER FIRST ORGASM STAGGERED HER LIKE A PUNCH IN THE STOMACH, THE NEXT ONE WAS THE K.O. THAT CLOSED HER EYES, MADE JELLO OF HER LEGS, CAUSED HER TO SPEAK WORD SALAD GIBBERISH, AND SENT HER MIND TO SOMEPLACE PLEASANT FOR A WHILE.

I didn't read this thread--and have never even clicked on the General Board.
