I think that really depends on how secure you are in your relationship. The more insecurity, the more likelihood that sharing will be done for the wrong reasons, that it will result in jealously, will cause the breakup of the relationship, etc.

It is surely a test of how strong a loving relationship is. I've been married for thirteen months today and if we were both honest to each other that this was something we were both up for, I see no real reason why it can't work to mutual advantage.
