Damn but that brings back memories.

In High School I had braces, as did my brother. (They didn't work too well for me, they did wonders for my brother the little bastard.)

I learned some little tricks and picked up some scars from them. (Do not try to french with braces, or eat out a sweet young woman. Also don't get hit in the mouth. )

On the other hand I did convince my brother that a good way to see if a 9 volt battery was good was to touch it to both the top and bottom braces.

You'll survive, you just have to plan around this little bit of agony for a bit.

Yep. Instant discharge, completey killed the battery. His mouth was numb for half an hour. (The only time I can remember when he wasn't talking. )
